firstly let me just say that the dark knight ruined my life for movies in the future. it is perhaps my favorite movie of all time. i've seen it three times and each time it was better than the last (except, the first time i saw it on IMAX so that was pretty freaking excellent, but i was pretty much just staring at the movie screen like this the whole time and not quite taking it all in). (why can i only choose one smiley to use?)

as anyone who reads jenna's journals knows, i chose to dye my hair green.  and good thing though because it helped my joker makeup out ;) i was the only one in the group of people i was with to "dress up" so rather than going all out i just did the lipstick. i did get a lot of comments though, like "just my type of woman" from another (male) joker, and a knowing wink as well. also, a guy in line told my boyfriend that he should be "proud to have a girlfriend like [me]" .. awesome, i'm a big nerd! hahaha.

and here is one to compare "just the lipstick" to "going all out". unfortunately my hair was not ALL green at the time :[ it's from a while ago - the post i made about haute couture super hero day at work. clearly i did a better job here. no pic of my purple tights with little boyshorts over em tho.

the brand in these photos is hot topic's color fiend, in radioactive. it lasted FOUR washes. it's supposed to last... four weeks. nice. before i dyed it again it was completely blonde in the bangs and front. it really looked heath-ledger-as-the-joker-esque.
i scraped together the last tiny bits of my SFX iguana green and limelight (mostly limelight) so now it's a lighter, more limey green - not very much blue.
oh and you can't see it in the pics but there is some teal in there as well, it's SFX fishbowl and it's much brighter and more blue now that i've re-dyed it.

it's not going to last too long though because for our 5-year anniversary in september my boo has surprised me with a trip to MOTHA FUCKING DISNEY WORLD. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
so i'm going to dye it more of a natural deep auburn or something of the sort. so it still looks funky but i don't have to look back on my pictures and go "why did i have sewage hair in disney world?" not like i've ever done that before (see: prom and pink hair) but ... i wanna look great! and not worry about how quickly my hair is fading.

but - DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!! we're staying in the port orleans riverside resort (which is exactly the resort i'd have picked if i'd been able to choose) and we have from sunday 7 to friday 12. and we got a free dining plan thinger so most of the food is free and we have wonderful reservations for wonderful restaurants. YES.

i wanted to go to the -LAND this week but shit got in my way thanks to work... so i went shopping with my sister today instead and spent an exorbitant amount of money on clothes but... i actually needed them??? and i also got a super cute hello kitty duffle-thing for d-world. SO GOOD
