Been away for a couple of weeks, and totally devoid of internet access, so time for a bit of a catch up.
My 'holiday' started with Tattoo Jam in sunny Doncaster, a few days after getting my sleeve finished. We hammered the last session (6hrs!) to get it finished so we could enter it in to competition at the show.
It was a great weekend for the gang at Aurora, as my mate (and my tattoist) Iain won the best Oriental category for a sleeve he did at the same time as mine (although he insists mine was the better tattoo! 
) and Emma (also Iain's grilfriend) won Best UK Female Artist '09 and best large black & grey for this beauty:

The day before I set off to the show, Iain text me saying he'd no one to tattoo for the show and asked me if he could do something on me for free. Neither of us could think of anything to do, so he came up with this kingyo goldfish and lotus flower:
The more I see it, the more I love it - it's a lot more fun than my other japanese stuff, which is all a bit serious. In keeping with tradition, I've decided to call him "Dave"!
The rest of my holiday was spent relaxing at my cousin's house in Lincolnshire. The village she lives in is miles away form anywhere, without shops or street lights, so it was a really good place to chill out. We drank beer and watched the meteor showers at night, which was awesome (in the true sense of the word), with the days spent doing absolutely nothing, just recharging some very spent batteries!
It's my birthday in a couple of weeks time and people keep asking me what I'm planning, but to be honest I haven't a clue - I don't know if I can be bothered going out for a meal then heading out after, as we seem to do it for everyone's birthday. Need to find something a bit different. Hmmmm.....
Anyway, I'm off to trawl the forums and such to see what I've missed!

First up - apologies for being a bit useless and hardly posting over the last 6 weeks or so. My access to the internet has been somewhat sporadic of late as I've been looking after my dad until his new carer starts, and he doesn't have the internet!! I mean really - who doesn't have broadband these days??? Thankfully my freind came to my rescue

We've all done things we regret, but none of us can undo what's done. I wish I hadn't done it, but I did. I betrayed a friendship, but I wasn't the only one that lied about it. She did too, but I guess it's easier to hate another guy

Don't get me wrong - I don't want to seem like I'm whining about having to do it - but being stuck in a house with only 10hrs a week to escape from your family is probably enough to drive a buddhist monk mental.

...I managed to get my sleeve outlined on Tuesday! It took an hour to place and freehand some of the background, and another couple of hours to line. Am really excited and can't wait to get it
