This is Jessica Robinson. She's a model from Dallas who was here in Portland for a few days and I was lucky enough to book some time with her. Jess has appeared in some of the Playboy Special Editions magazines, she's on the cover of the current issue of Playboy Lingerie.
I was a bit nervous going into the shoot. I'd only worked with one model before, who was very inexperienced, and Jess has a pretty amazing portfolio. My excitement was more the positive kind of nervousness, though. I was really anticipating a fun shoot based on our interactions. And despite the fact that I haven't worked with many models, I'm confident in my ability to get pretty images with my Hasselblad.
It turned out the shoot was even more fun than I expected. She was early for our morning appointment, despite having a shoot the night before, which was a pleasant surprise. And she was a total pro. I rarely had to give her direction, and when I did she did great with it. She also is smart and fun and very sexy. It was a real treat to stare down the viewfinder and see her there.
If you're someone who books models, I can't recommend Jess highly enough. I'm definitely hoping to work with her again.

Thanks :) It was great, I'm really glad I did it. I want to work with some fashion designers and I think it will help a lot that I can show them some shots with a great model.

You know, as soon as I get my shit together up here in Alaska I am headed back down to Portland for at least a month & I would definitely love to shoot something with you. I'll keep you updated....
