A savage day of snow storm anarchy
posted : 04/07/08 02:05 pm pst
listening to: DJ Yoda - How To Cut And Paste 80's Mix
Apparently some strange and savage bastard from above decided to dump a whole load of snow on this crackpot town in the ungodly hours of the morning while all that are sane were tucked up nicely in their beds. Not content with merely freezing us to death people’s morning commute had to be ground to a halt as well. Bus queues swiftly doubling in length as the entourage of morning motorists chickened out of their routine school and work runs. God help us if it were to snow properly. The schools and businesses would surely close and we’d witness the gentlest of old dears locked in sadistic knife wielding battles with the young mothers over the last remaining supermarket supplies before their descent into complete madness.

Whilst on my morning trip to the bakers I made the decision not to go to the office today and work from home. After all that’s why Mr. Gates and co. gave us laptops and networking cards. Without the endless distractions of the office I had everything tied off by lunch so I decided to take a stroll through the woods to our neighbouring village that proudly sports the most fantastic tea emporium. There is some deep satisfaction to be gained from laying the tracks in freshly fallen snow. After a glorious hour of the finest tea and cake known to man I got to experience this for the second time today as I made my way home dodging the snow storms.

Right now I'm listening to 'thank god for mental illness' by Brian Jonestown Massacre. This has been the soundtrack to my life for some time now. I don't think I'll ever tire of it. I do wish I could find it on vinyl.

I made a banner for Merl. She seems really cute and wears pants on her head and sometimes looks confused in her pics and I think  that rocks so here is.

Ill post in both banner threads and also make a better one when I get some sleep.

Here is a new wallpaper I made of Sakura with the help of beer, jazz and the British track cycling team lapping up gold medals in a fist of fury.

I will post the full size version in the desktop/banners thrad if anyone wants it.

I was going to make banners today. I finished the ones I half did yesterday and then got bored. I painted a bike I made up over a couple of evenings last week. I found an old bike in a skip on the way back from the baker's early last week. Took it to my friends workshop, chopped it up, rebuilt it, had a little help with the forks from my friend and then like I said, painted it today.
