I feel like a walking zombie.

This has been recent, since the picture viewer change. When I try to leave comments, I get signed out!

Today was an interesting day. First of my best friend and her baby are OK! That makes me so happy. She also found out that she is having a girl. She already has a 7 year old girl and her husband has a 14 year old girl and 13 year old girl. That's a lot of girls in one house! They are looking at bigger houses, she's going to need a soccer mom van.

had an appointment at the Road Town Health Clinic today. I saw two doctors! They made an appointment for me to see a gynecologist/oncologist next week at the hospital. I was told at some point I will probably have surgery. I hate hospitals. I am trying to stay positive because this is out of my control. I guess I will know the full details on 22 August when I have my appointment.

 

 

My best friend, Leslie, and I have been friends since she was 4 and I was 5. We have been through so much together. She is currently pregnant, almost five months. The baby hasn't moved in a week and it is starting to worry me. Usually, Five months is when I baby is most active. I read lots of medical journals for fun. I've also, for fun, taken medical classes. I am such a dork. She is having an ultrasound today so she will find out what is going on but I fear the worst.  Her and her husband want this baby so much. Here is a picture of us together. I interviewed two musicians and typed out  interviews. I sent the first one to Erin already and will soon send the second one. The first musician I interviewed was like pulling teeth. I could barely get any information out of her. She seems scared without a guitar in her hand. The second interview was FANTASTIC. I am just waiting on clearance for that one. We talked for hours about anything and everything. I feel like I found a new friend. Awww..I am so damn cheesy! I hope this second interview goes through because she is actually one of my favorite musicians. She makes me feel happy and super motivated when I listen to her music. I have a couple of interviews set up for tomorrownhopefully soon some interviews from poolshark will be showing up on the site. Yay for poolshark! ha ha. I am such a super dork!

They came in the mail today. I am very excited. I will be stickering all weekend and taking pictures of the process.  

Today is the last day of the three week long celebration. There's been so much going on. Parades, carnivals, lots of music, lots of drinking and a man on stilts! It was fun while it lasted but now the slow season begins. I am going to love it. It will be like having the beach all to myself. Yay! I  can do yoga on the beach without being bothered. Thanks to everyone who commented about my back pain. My back is still sore but much better. I actually did a headstand during yoga this evening! Yipee for me! Now I am just trying to keep my spine limber and the muscles relaxed so I don't have a spasm in my spinal muscles. I have Osteoarthritis (Degenerative Arthritis) in most of my Spine and Temporo-Mandibular Joint. Sometimes it bothers me, most of the time it doesn't. When I workout too hard, especially for several days in a row, I sometimes get pain. It's no biggie though.  I'm all good.

I hurt my back. I am always hurting myself. Not on purpose, just want to make that clear. I have a sore back and a swollen thumb and lots of bruises. All for different things. I am way too accident prone. I am not exactly sure what I did to my back but my lumbar spine is where the pain is. My thumb, I slammed it in a door. Yeah, real cool! Random bruising from running into things, anything! Walls, doors, chairs whatever, this happens all day everyday. Yeah I am a dork! Other than that. I am taking a break from the alcohol. It makes me lazy. ha ha. My boyfriend and I went to The Tamarind Club on Sunday, which is a hotel/bar/restaurant on the island. I was there last day to be open for the season. Lots of places close here during the slow season. They had a "Drink The Bar Dry" party. We were there from about 1:00 pm until 1:00 am. We had brunch first, then hung out in the pool (you can actually swim up to the bar). Then at 4:00pm we started drinking the bar dry! I started off with absinthe! Woo Hoo! Four shots! They didn't do the fancy sugar/water thing for me. Then an entire bottle of champagne! Then tons of other mixed drinks. I was pretty drunk. I don't remember the rest. I don't normal drink that much, but I decided that I would have a big drinking binge and then chill out for the slow season. Woo Hoo!

Last night I had so much fun. I needed to decompress and I did with lots of alcohol and singing. My boyfriend and I went to The Last Resort last night. You have to drive to the end of Beef Island and then call The Last Resort for a water taxi. The Last Resort is on it's own tiny little island. Tuesday through Saturdays they have the Singing Chef. After the Chef has finished preparing the meals he comes out and plays tunes for a few hours. He usually has a band with him, but last night it was just him and his guitar. By this time, there were only about 12 people hanging around. The Singing Chef decided to have a musical trivia game. He would start playing a tune and the first one to guess the song correctly got a free tequila shot. He ended up going through about 6 or so bottles of Jose Cuervo. It got blurry after a while. The Singing Chef ,he is from England, seemed to enjoy my deeply Southern accent because he kept calling me up to the stage to sing with him. I am a horrible singer! My only request is that I get to sing Britney Spears but in the style of Death Metal. He granted my request. I loved that! The audience did as well, they asked for an encore. Just imagine...."Baby One More Time" mixed with Death Metal. The results were pretty fucking awesome. I also sang "Sweet Home Alabama" at the request of the Singing Chef. It was a damn fun night. A bottle of wine, a cosmopolitian, several tequila shots and some other random shot. I was good to go. We talked about meeting up on Sunday at the Tamarind Club. They are having their annual "Drink The Bar Dry party" because they are closing for the season. Maybe some more singing, perhaps? Only if it's Death Metal Britney...I think that's become my new alter ego

I have been putting this off of at least two weeks. This is going to be too much information so this isn't for the weak ones out there. I went to see a doctor at the main health department a couple of weeks ago, just for Immigration purposes. We started talking and I mentioned that I have been having very heavy periods and for the last six months 2, sometimes 3 a month. Craziness! Finally my boyfriend told me that I HAD to go.  I had to go to a medical center in the capital city. I had to have loads of tests done and then a pelvic ultrasound. That was the weirdest thing ever. Now I know how pregnant women feel. That gel feels really gross! I have a report that I have to give to the original doctor on thursday (next thursday). Apparently I have fibroids, an enlarged left ovary with a cyst and a polyp.  I also got some lovely scans of my ovaries and uterus. Early Christmas card anyone?? I was told that "further investigation needed to be done". Anytime I would ask the gynecologist a question, she would tell me to ask the doctor that ordered the test. She didn't feel comfortable discussing it with me?!?! What the fuck?!?!? She sees snatch all day! Enough of that. I hope everyone or anyone who read this, has a wonderful day.  poolshark
