Hey GGland!

I had a busy weekend.

Friday night I baked a vegan peach cobbler.

Saturday I baked Heart Shaped Cherry pies for my bff's 11 year old's birthday party. She wants to go vegan go I am her mentor of sorts.

I used whole wheat flour, earth balance and a little bit of soy milk for the crust. I rubbed the tops with coconut oil and sprinkled with white sugar. The inside is made with fresh cherries, agave nectar, rum flavoring. I baked for about 20 minutes on 350. The heart shaped mold came from  Williams-Sonoma. Good thing I made this. The pies were the only vegan foods there. They were a hit!

When I returned home, I made Tofurky sausages with red, green, yellow and orange bell peppers. I made a "sauce" with chili powder, spicy mustard and sesame oil. It seems weird but it was good.

My tattoo is healing nicely. I bleed the logo! Ha!

Just for cuteness, Rufus. I adopted him about 6 months ago. His original daddy was a family member that was killed in a skydiving accident. Rufus was loved so much, I couldn't let him go to a stranger or the pound.

I love the heart shaped pie! I want to make those!

I made some rosemary foccacia bread this weekend, boring in comparison with all your tasty treats!

That would be an awesome job. I'd love to cook and bake all day!

I love cooking and baking but your delicious foods make my attempts look inadequate. Do you go by recipes or do you make your own up?

I've tried recipes in the past but I always change them. I am pretty good at coming up with my own ideas and making it work. I will occasionally get ideas from "Skinny Bitch in the Kitch" but have found that I usually need to double or even triple some of the ingredients.

Everything I bake is a work in progress. I seem to change the formula every time.

I was hoping to be able to be given a list of all the books you use. Hah. I use Skinny Bitch a lot but I feel like I end up eating the same basic meals that over and over again because I don't know what else to do. You should write a cookbook. I will buy it.
