I posted this before, but it's buried pages back, and I think it deserves some exposure. Dear Amythia and me, by Carmina Photo:
She's a beautiful creature, and we miss her around this town.

I received a fantastic boost to my career tonight - it involves the curator of a great public art gallery in town. I don't know details yet, but I do know I'll be showing there, and that many beautiful things will stem from that.

Life is good and sweet tonight. Peace and love to Nelson's hottest new resident, and to you.

me, happy, cause life is sweet.

i've been dating two beautiful girls all summer long, which in part accounts for my absence from this site. it's been blissful - especially the day i took them both lingerie shopping...

oh, and i painted all summer too, sold a record number of paintings, and had a great holiday at the lake with my folks.

last day of the long weekend today, tomorrow, painting starts again in earnest.

okay, i'm going to look at hot naked GodsGirls now. peace to all.

1. Spring has arrived and we are hot , sticky and reborn in it today. The first blossoms on the trees are out!

2. I'm feeling restless with the heat and predatory with the coming of spring. Tomorrow night, Sunday, my girl and I are going to the Garden kink night, where perhaps we'll find a girl or two to play with. Maybe even a certain GodsGirl who I like...

3. I've been thinking for years about how to create peacefulness. What ways are there, other than the personal practice of peacefulness, to create it?

4. My girl has been researching Japanese styles of painting, and I'm happy to see that some sense of Japan is leaking into my work.

5. Snap peas are just about the best thing to keep in your bag and munch on.

6. I'm fairly addicted to playing Scrabulous on Facebook. Do you play? Message me and maybe we can play a game. :)

7. I'm endlessly grateful for this beautiful life...

*8. Eva is really beautiful. :)

I chose to go to Canmore last night, rather than to the Symphony of Horrors. Calgary had me driving in circles, but after an hour alone on the highway, I could breathe and think and see clearly again. I spent the night with my girl and her friends in an over sized 'cabin' on the Bow river. It was luxurious and relaxing and calming and healing.

I'm back in the studio now, just waiting for the first layer to dry on my new commission. I'm excited by and in love with painting. After years of practice, I'm beginning to see its real possibilities...

my girl has gone out for a couple hours. she is love.
she'll be back for a late night painting session after that.
perhaps, Universe, you could send a pretty girl by to come and be our muse for the night?
*edit: it is one night later, but Marla is coming over, prayer answered.

I'm going to hang out with my girl, drink tea, and eat good food.
We'll be at Ming at nine tonight, to celebrate. Want to join us?

i remembered, while painting just now, that i have blood in my veins.

a painting records everything that has been done to it. every brush stroke, knife stroke, spray of water, millimeter of flow, the instant you stop, the last molecule that dries.

our lives are like that, we leave tracks, marks, scars and signs wherever we go. look, and you'll start to see your own footprints and fingerprints on everything, everywhere.

the world is paradise in places, and is always trying to become paradise where it isn't. people fight such blossoming, just as they fight the blossoming of their own soul, the emergence of light through their own chest.. but look around at the tracks we're making, past the obvious destruction, and at the more subtle marks of beauty we're making, the little gardens we're constantly planting.

light is coming out of everything...

enough snow has fallen to quiet the city.

i'm a boy without a topic tonight, mistrustful of any thought that purports to be true.

so, a list. seven things i am grateful for:

last night with my lover,
my friends,
the peace in this studio,
lots of earl grey tea,
good red wine,
my rocketing painting career,
spring, which is emerging despite the snow. :)

mmmm, what are you grateful for?
