I had my annual exam yesterday. Ick.

She said everything looks and feels very healthy, and that I must really take care of my vagina. Well, she's right. I love it very much and hope we spend a lot of time together.

Women: get checked. Go to a local planned parenthood. It's free. And it's the best thing you can do for your body, and your lover's bodies, and your friends bodies.


Men: get checked too. Be a man and help stop stds. Be responsible and most of all be respectable.

I get checked once a year.


I know its a must and all but god I hate it.

i always feel guilty when they say, "this exam should cost you $50 (or $100 or whatever) but pay what you can" I always end up giving them at least $20. But  then again, I know I need it and I'm not really a freeloader (the money for this stuff has to come from somewhere, right?) Plus it helped me out when I had abnormal cells two years ago. I got a colposcopy and now I don't have to worry about getting cervical cancer! But I agree, everyone needs to get checked out! male or female...

You're totally right! It's a reallllly good idea. Especially for people who are sexually active.

I'm going to see what I need to do to get checked out in Canada (I'm not a citizen or anything, I have no idea if this makes a difference).
