listening to: 'Me vs. Madonna vs. Elvis' - Brandnew
Grab your fucking cut off tight-jeans, VANS or Converse with tattered closed toes, long unwashed curly disheveled hair and get ready because Defiance, Ohio is coming back to Tampa for the first time in like 4 years! FUCK YES. August 27th, you'll probably find me at Transitions. For those of you who haven't heard of or listened to Defiance, Ohio before, bend over and prepare to get deliverance-style fucked in the ass by some hard(x)core folk-punk music.  Thats right, upright bass,  cello/violin combo, loud obnoxious drums,  and power chords from the almighty acoustic guitar dreadnought style, baby! Picky about melodies and tempo? Well throw those fucking inhibitions to the wind, damn't! Because they hardly have any! Just a couple of honest punk kids fueled by the bond a bunch of other smelly sweaty punk kids share with them while we scream along and dance in a circle pit to acoustic music. Sounds too real? Think you're ready for 'em? Think again, you bastard. One time during a slow acoustic song (this Time, this Year) i was thrown through the roof of Transitions Art Gallery (building 1, not the groovy new two story one). It was pisser.

Wow, and to think 10 minutes ago i was upset I didnt have anything to write about.

I'm going to attempt to make a new entry everyday. Or just see how long i can keep it going.
i just went and looked at my old xanga websites.
and now i'm embarrassed.
hahaha.
everyone have a good night.

listening to: 'Mysterious Ways' - U2

2 Ibuprofren and a caffeine tablet. Glass of orange juice.

My breakfast. Brush the teeth, out the door. Off to be strangled by the 9 to 5 (Woo! Cursive rules!), or in my case, the 10-7 in the hot-as-balls warehouse I work in shipping huge ass computer equipment and phones for a 100 million dollar company.

However; I'm working with someone else who looks like Kyle Gass from Tenacious D counting boxes and boxes trying to get an inventory count on 40 year old technology. Fuckin' sucks.

Now i'm on my lunch break. Really only dropped by just to say the first line, about the aspirin and orange juice. When i get off work im gonna start a big bullshit fest on what pisses me off about my life. Y'know, because its a journal and all. For all of my new friends who left comments, you're all awesome and i cant wait to get to know you all more! =]

Part 2 -

Intensely long day at work. Florida has the most depressing weather you've ever encountered, unless I suppose you live in Seattle. I hear that weather blows. Try walking outside in 90 degree 200% humidity heat, no shade anywhere, for 4 minutes and not sweat. Impossible. Then walk inside, make a sandwich, walk back outside and prepare for the torrential downpour of rain after you've just freshened up by standing under the A/C while you ate.

I miss massachusetts. Thats all i've got to say about that. Everyday i daydream about how the grass felt and the smell of mountain air mashing together with ocean spray from the Atlantic. Sounds pretty pimp when you compare it to the sweat marsh of Florida.

Now i've got like an hour to sell a car, work out, shower, catch up with all the regulars i spend time talking with, drive 45 minutes to Wesley Chapel to meet some people that i'd rather just not be around considering they're my best friends, however; I made out with one of the female friends aforementioned while drunk at my fourth of july party, now its awkward, not because we're like, "wow, we just did that. hmm. How do we feel about that?" but its because the action was obviously precipitated by supressed romantic feelings that *she* isn't acting on.

So, welcome to rock and a hard place, and I'm the face on the mountain.
better hop to it. I've got a long to-do list.

listening to: Down - Blink-182

down down down down

The first blog entry of any blog on an website is like opening up a new CD or a blank notebook. Who knows what you'll find on there, chances are whether you spent $10 at Best Buy (screw FYE), a show, or Newbury Comics...you've probably got an idea that there's something on there for you. Same with a notebook. You'll probably write a few good notes or stories or poems or suicide letters in there. Maybe you won't. Maybe you'll just admire your format of the notes, or handwriting. Whatever. The only time this simile would fail would be the time i walked into Target and bought I-Empire from Angels & Airwaves knowing that "Everything's Magic" was a piece of shit rip off of Anthem Pt. 2 from Blink. I ended up hating the album. And it wasn't $10. It was lik $14.99 because it included some shitty acoustic version of...The Adventure?

I guess if you're reading this, you probably don't know me, but figured this is a good place to start. You're right. =]

I'm eighteen, i was born in a tiny town in the South Shore of Massachusetts called Rockland. In 95, I moved to Clearwater, Florida and in 97 I moved to Tampa, Florida. Then i guess by 17 I moved out of my family's house and now currently live in Odessa, Florida with my best friend. Who at the moment was kicked out earlier today. Now its just me in this huge house. I rarely see his mom. She pops in to check on things every few hours then leaves never to be seen again till 8 pm the next night. Where does she go? I wonder if Accounts see the world differently. Like an Accountant Narnia or something.

I consider myself a renaissance kid with a witty sense of humor.  I like reading, writing, even composing. Gotta love that acoustic guitar. Eoin Colfer's 'Artemis Fowl' books are by far one of the best stories i've ever read. Same goes for Obert Skye's 'Leven Thumps' and Bradbury's 'Fahrenheit 451'. I'm currently reading a book about the LAPD's investigation on Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G called 'LAbyrinth' by Randall Sullivan. Its captivating to say the least. Suge Knight is Evita's Eva Person meets Frank Lucas from American Gangster. Bought the book on Amazon for a dollar. Ballin'

Music is another big thing in my life. I'm enthralled with 90's gangsta rap. Old Dr. Dre, Wu-Tang Clan, Tupac, Blackstreet, basically the entire Death Row Record label. Hence me reading LAbyrinth. Apart from my Jekyll & Hyde love for rap, i enjoy hardcore and screamo music. Fear Before the March of Flames, A Day to Remember, Brandnew, Thrice, Cursive, The Lawrence Arms, The Spill Canvas, all equally hold a place in my ear and as far as Thrice goes, a place on my skin. Soon to be allied with Cursive and Fear Before.

I've got two tattoos, an anchor on my left bicep (my last name [Murphy] in Gaelic means sea warrior, my grandfather was in the Coast Guard and i love fishing) and the state of Massachusetts with a witch flying over the Moon which happens to be setting into the atlantic, just above cape cod. The mainland says "UNDER A KILLING MOON" ;; a song by thrice. I've got 3 or 4 ideas left to be drawn out but i wont mention them because i dont trust you yet =]

I used to work for a web design company, making websites for bands on Victory Records and shit like that, then i kinda stopped fucking with photoshop, went to work for an IT company in Massachusetts, moved back to FL (regrettably) and now i work in a warehouse shipping computer equipment.

My AIM is 'oh romantics'

have at it, i find myself pretty interesting at times.
