It could be worse--you could be working too much. Not that having "too much money" is even a possibility, but you can have no spare time to spend with your friends, or practice music in your case. Hopefully the two shows you have coming up go well. I need to go check out your band's Myspace and see what you kids are all about.

Yikes! Tough day.. I know how awkward it can be when jobs call to say that you're not needed in work. I used to work in a struggling Bar and sometimes I'd get that call, that or I'd get to work and do about two hours before half the staff got sent home due to no punters. Sucks.
