Alright, those aren't the words to 'White Flag' but it's what I hear every time the song comes on the radio. C'mon, you know that's what it sounds like... Enunciate. Bitch. (Admittedly, I'm always mishearing lyrics. "I want Joe Biden, I need Joe Biden" - T.I. in 'Whatever You like')
Anyways, today was the first day of classes. The two I went to didn't seem too terrible. I had one of my two anthropology classes, which apparently an incredibly awkward friend of mine is in, so that's cool. I also had my sociology class today, and my instructor seems pretty awesome. Apparently he's been punished a few times for being the "Jerry Springer" of the Soc. department and having guest speakers such as a students male-stripper boyfriend. I'm pretty excited, this could be an interesting class. He also encourages eavesdropping on conversations, and has been late for classes on several occasions because he followed people to listen, but it's okay because he was "doing sociology stuff."
Worked as usual. Bah. This semester I work or have class every day and night except Saturday. I got an e-mail from my night manager for one of my jobs saying that people had to pick up some of the unchosen Saturday night shifts or he would just randomly stick people places, and promptly reminded me that "when I was hired, I agreed that I may have to take a weekend shift if they were left over, correct?" Yeah, but I didn't have a second job and no free time then, asshole. Ugh. I had agreed though, so I chose one, and I'm also stuck working another Saturday because it's mandatory for EVERYONE. If I get stuck with any more, I'm going to flip out. I'm overextended as it is, and there are people with only one shift this semester, yet I still have to pick up slack. Oh well. It is what it is, and hopefully this is the last semester I'll be here any way.
The shit weather is back, and right on time for trudging my ass to classes and work. It's supposed to be blizzarding the next couple of days, and have negative ten windchills on Wednesday. Nice. Good thing I'm a wimp.
Whaaat else? I don't know. Nothing, really. Once I get all of this shift bullshit worked out hopefully I can get out to the city and meet up with my buddy to shoot some application pictures. I wanted to do that weeks ago. Fail on my part. Also, hopefully I can meet up with GG Mina once the weather settles down :] That would be pretty nifty.

Haha oh jeez, I hear you on that one. One of my jobs is at a Japanese restaurant, and I'm one of the three non-Engrish speakers employed, hahaha.

haha ok, i love that song, but i seriously had to listen to it to figure out how you were mistaking that line... maybe it's her accent? my best friend can't hear a damn thing anyone says with an accent. i think it's funny, but usually the waiter at chinese food restaurants doesn't think it's very funny when he's asked to repeat himself while i just sit there, giggling. speaking of which, the human brain can and will cease lingusitic fluidity to free up space for things deemed more important. that's why it's easier for kids to learn new languages, and why the aforementioned waiter will replace all english R's with L's... because his brain seriously cannot differentiate the sounds.
