Whoa, baby. posted : 12/04/08 at 04:53pm pst
The semester is so close to being over, and I can NOT wait.  I got a B+ on that English paper (thanks, guys ;D) so I have a feeling the revision should go over pretty well and I can still do well in the class despite the little writer's strike I pulled earlier in the year.

I worked two double shifts the past two days, and I work today and every day to follow up until next Monday (the 15.)  One of my jobs is more or less going to be closed for the month of break, since it's a campus job, and I'm trying to rack up as much money as I can while I have the chance.  My boss also teaches some bowling classes on campus, and gave me an hour's extra pay if I took the final while I was working and got them all right...  Finding all whopping fifteen words in the word search.  It was awesome.  I wish my POLS class would give me a word search.

My mother came out and took me for lunch today.  She had texted me from my dad's phone last night, and didn't identify herself, so I was thinking I was agreeing to see him.  Once I realized it would be a strange day for my father to have off of work, it was too late to ask, so I just let myself be surprised, ha.  I found out one of our guinea pigs had a stroke :[  I guess he only has one working leg now, so we're probably going ot have to put him to sleep.  I remember when my hamster, Kameko, had a stroke.  Her head was suddenly tilted to the left and she kept walking in circles because she couldn't figure out what was wrong.  I felt bad, but I couldn't stop laughing.  She eventually learned to work with her new world view.

The cat has been acting weird the past week or so, particularly at nights.  The separation anxiety seems to have transformed into manic episodes where he runs around the apartment for an hour or two, ears back, nails out, slamming into windows, using all four paws to climb circles around the scratching post, slinking around, and sitting poised for attack.  I've never had a cat before, but some how this doesn't seem normal to me.  Has any one else had a cat act this way for an extended period of time?  Last night he popped a hole in my air mattress with his claws, so now I'm sleeping on the couch.  Then a half hour later, he was normal and loving again.  He walked up my chest, licked my face and slept purring next to my head, and then purring on top of my back.  What the hell.  I'm waiting for the "cat behaviouralist" to call me back from the shelter I got him from.  I don't know what to do, but I'm getting worried that he's going to hurt the rabbit if I'm not careful.

Speaking of waiting for calls, I'm waiting to hear about getting my car back from the shop...three weeks later.  It was supposed to be done today, so I hope it's done tomorrow before I go in for work.

Time to head back to the bowling alley.
