so, it's been a while.
i started law school, michigan state college of law. not my first choice, but i think it's a good fit for me. I really wasn't expecting more with my gpa, and since i feel my gpa is not indicative of my potential, i should be able to achieve a pretty decent class rank if i keep at it. so far, the workload doesn't seem to be as heavy as i had expected.... however, i'm also 500 miles from everyone i care about, so it might just seem that way because i have nothing better to do than study. i see this as a good thing, but it is hard leaving the lady and kids back at home. especially knowing that her work and school load has her stressed to the max. i've been writing letters and just bought her a massage/spa gift certificate. no doubt the times will be tough and put some stress on the relationship over the next few years, but it's all for the better, and when we come out on the other end, we both will hopefully be sitting pretty and be able to to provide the life her (our... i guess) kids deserve. definitely hard to be away, especially with lots of free time to think.... miss them like crazy.
so, 3 weeks completed, 81 to go...over the next 3 years that is.
unrelated note: yay for 2.5 years of sobriety.

It's very hard being far from loved ones. :/stay strong though! sounds like you are doing good! and that's awesome about the sobriety :] congrats!
