listening to:every time i die - hot damn!
a few days ago i was out buying coffee and cigarettes.
there was a girl ringing me up, maybe about twenty.
after the transaction, she said, "have a nice day, sir."
sir?
really?
this is the first time this has happened to me.
aside from at work, but that's just because the customers don't remember my name.
and i call them sir also, so it doesn't matter.
i know i was older than this girl, but old enough to require a "sir"?
i've felt old a lot before as well, like when hanging out with some of my friends who are three years younger than me.
but this hit a new level.
i don't feel that old yet.
she could have at least called me something different.
like "dude".

Sir is just respectful, and the starbucks training manual dictates that customers not be referred to as 'dude'.
I even call guys younger than me Sir.

This story is funny, I would have called you sir probably too, I'm the same age as you, but I love being called m'am because its very respectful, and I'm used to people treating me like I'm 21 because I look so young.... ps- thanx for the comment dude.
