Last night Ryan took me to Windy Point restaurant for my birthday dinner. For those of you who don't know, it is like the number one proposal restaurant (by proposal I mean marriage, not indecent) in South Australia. It's perched on the side of a hill with sensational views out over the city to the sea. Pretty romantic! And pricey...
Anyway omg it was soooo good. The food was out of this world. I had this confit salmon which was juuuust warm and absolutely melted in my mouth like butter. I'm drooling. I even had a dream about it last night! :D
It was a sensational dinner and I totally overate. The only thing which I know is coming is when I tell people we went to Windy Point, it's going to be all expectation "and? Did he pop the question?". Seriously. No matter how many times I tell people "WE'RE NOT GETTING MARRIED. WE'RE NOT HAVING BABIES" there are some idiots who want yout to fit into their nice neat little version of the world. I mean, we've been together a while. We MUST be planning to get married at some stage! Otherwise... what ARE we planning? If you don't want to get married and pop out hideous children, then what DO you want? And then they get all freaked and nervy and they don't like it.
Whatever. Let me state here and now - Ryan and I ARE NOT getting married. We DO NOT want children. I might want a pretty ring though because I don't want to miss out on everything... And if I tell you we went to Windy Point, don't say "and?" and wait for the big proposal story (which then makes me feel that my description of the delicious food etc is just a letdown). Instead, assume we had a fantastic meal and great conversation and really great sex afterwards THE END!
