Jury Duty 01/15/08 08:21 pm pst
Listening to: Radio Head

So I had Jury duty and I got selected to serve on a Jury for a Criminal case this guy took  three Hydrocodone and between one to three Prescription Sleeping Pills while behind the Wheel.  Oh by the way he was also driving after Rev. so the guy was so out of it that he was using all three lanes and the shoulder on the freeway for 7-8 miles there were three cell phone calls to 911 before the cops caught up with him and he had no clue the cops were behind him with the lights on.  His Defense Lawyer put him on the stand and other than trying for sympathy he was a terrible Wittiness but he lay ed it on thick he said he had only slept 3-4 hours the night before, his Grandmother was in a Hos pis, His wife was recovering  from lung cancer,  he had chronic back pain, he was coming back from a AA meeting at which he revealed he had been physically and sexually abused as a child and things weren't going well at work.

The Case is over  We Found him Guilty and after that the Judge told us it was our choice if we wanted to talk about it.

Yeah the laws in Wisconsin about driving under the influence of a controlled or prescribed substance are actually rather new and some times vague.  Its not like DUI where  there is a set level where you are guilty.

Wow, that's frightening that they don't have set laws on that stuff yet. Glad the dude can get some help now.
