i love waking up to good news. the kind of news that youve been waiting to hear for years and years. my good friend and i are this close to singing our first song as song writers to a major record label for a major artist. Just incase some of you are confused or dont know, almost all of these major hip hop & pop artists obviously dont make their own beats, dont write their own lyrics, basically dont do much other than sing a song that some random people wrote in their studio. So this is what my good friend and i do, we produce a beat and then collab with people we know and write lyrics and they cut the vocals and we send it off hoping that an a&r likes it enough to pitch it to one of their recording artists.

i set this goal for myself awhile back that i would take time out from doing my usual thing which was putting out dance records and mess around with some more commercial music for the radio. i wanted to see if i could really do this and prove to myself im not just a producer song writer that only does dance music. i grew up on every genre of music in the book so i knew it was deep in my blood somewhere and i really wanted to test myself to try new things. I feel i really am on the right track here and to hear the new i got today is just humbling. i swear when the day comes when those contracts are in front of my face and its finally legit that i actually achieved a goal i set for myself, im going to flip. i will be painting the town that evening forsure, and im never the one to do such things either

I love setting goals for myself. Its something ive been doing alot more as ive gotten older. This goal was major to me because getting anything released to a major record label and not to mention having a major artist cutting your track is soo legitimate. Any dude can put out a dance record on some indie label like ive been doing, but to me really getting something signed to an artist that has sold millions and millions of records is something else, im not even sure if im ready to believe all this yet, right now its too unreal to me, but in the same hand im ecstatic. When the song finally goes down i will tell you all who the artist is and where you can hear it. ill be on the edge of my seat for days till this happens.
