Many of you probably don't know this, but I am very famous in Bangladesh. Several years ago, I had a book of short stories published there & it has become something of a national treasure. The funny part is, I didn't actually write any of the stories! I just took some other people's stories, changed the titles and a few words here and there. United States and English copyright laws mean nothing to me! And they don't apply in Bangladesh, anyway. So far, the book has sold over 3.5 million copies and has been on the Bangladeshi equivalent of the New York Times Bestseller list for 832 weeks! The bad news is, since I don't speak or read Bangladeshi, I got royally screwed on my contract and don't receive any royalties. But I've been told that there is a baby albino tiger at the Bangladesh National Zoo that has been named in honor of me, so I guess it evens out.
I seriously can't wait until all my fans over there get to read my "Larry Trotter" books!
