IN ANOTHER COUNTRY posted : 11/06/09 at 03:47am pst

 I WILL FIND MY TWIN.

Reasons to miss Mallorca, Spain
In no particular order (if anything, I tried to scramble to avoid an order):
-Being able to walk or take a bus everywhere I want
-Night life
-All the different cultures
-Mom
-The beach
-Street performers (there is one outside my window every morning that sings and plays acoustic to a certain song with my name as the title. Makes me happy)

I could make a list of reasons to move.
-School
-Friends
-Brother/sister/nieces
-Larger selection of vegan food
-Living on my own, attempting to support myself.
Those would be some of the things on the list, but for the most part, it's something I just FEEL inside me that I need to be doing. Some kind of inner calling (whatever I mean by that) telling me that, at this point in my life, I need to move forward. I need to get both an education at a school with classes I enjoy/find challenging and start doing a LOT of self-teaching. I will probably only be living in Texas for about 2 - 2 1/2 years once I get there, but I'll figure that out once the time comes. Right now, my mind has made itself up and is planning for the next few years in Texas.
I think there are three main American cities I’d like to live in(or near them): Seattle, Portland or San Francisco (where an ex lives, hope to never run into him. Haha.) and I think if, after I finish school, I realize I don’t want to live in America at the moment, I’d like to live a year or a few somewhere in France. I have a huge advantage because I have double nationality (American/Spanish), so I wouldn’t have to go through such the troubles a regular American would to move to Europe. I’ve only been to Paris once, and it was fine, but I’d like to live in a less touristy place.

I cut my bangs all Shannyn Sossamon-y.

Spider I caught. It took me forever to catch. And I guess it was claustrophobic because when I put it in the cup to take outside it was like, attacking the cup. Running into the wall. It was mildly crazy.

Other recent self-interest pictures:

Some may say my penis looks like a set of fingers, but I’d disagree with them.

I really don’t just wear band shirts… I’ve just packed most of my clothing, and I apparently felt the need to leave all band shirts out.

As I have said before, I don’t want to buy many things when I get my own place, and seeing as basically all my journals these days are repeating, yet editing my statements from the ones prior, I will say this again, yet different. I refuse to spend money on anything but a bike, skateboard, kitchenware, mattress, books, sewing machine (which I may get for cheap from a friend), bills (food, apartment, etc.), turntable/records.
I can find wood to make the bed and a sleeper sofa for free. MAYBE a bike and skateboard, too…but less likely.

I still plan on rescuing an animal once I get settled in, so I’ll use all my money on him/her once I get it. Psh, I don’t need to eat…he/she does, though. Priorities set.

Shoving this in your face.

I'm fairly certain that most insects, and arachnids included, do not have the capacity to comprehend glass.  to them it is probably a magical invisible force field.

I'd probably freak the fuck out too if suddenly I was trapped in something I could not comprehend either.

can spiders understand/comprehend the ideas of freedom  and confinement? I mean yes we can understand those principles but really can a spider?  I mean sure it's free out in the garden or what have you. It's free to do what it wishes to survive.  But can it possibly understand that it is free to do what it wants, when it wants.  I think survival, self preservation, is something ingrained in all living creatures. There are many more creatures on this planet that places that at the top of the proverbial "to-do list"  compared to humans, most of whom would probably place "be successful"  or "be happy" (of some variant or another)  at the top. People are ruled by emotion. not logic. Where as the majority of creatures on this planet are guided by the simplest logic: live, pass on the genetic code as their parents did in having them.

don't know where I was going with that.   yeah, don't move out to LA  I've been told it's filthy.

I completely get that...now. I guess I didn't really think about WHY it was doing it, just amazed at the persistency. I felt really bad, though. I mean, it was only in the glass for maybe a minute, but it seemed to be having a panic attack. I'm hoping it's happy now, not freaking out (if it's still alive). I put it in the patio, lots of plants and such. (I'm totally just trying to make myself feel better by thinking it's doing well after the apparent shit I put it through)

Oh, I never even considered LA. Haha. That's how little I'd like to live there.

I'm sure it's fine, and happier now.  there was a HUGE spider living outside our sliding glass door.  it was there for like 4 days then one day it was just gone, web and all... I found it again almost a day later starting a new web in another location  but after a day I never saw it again.

You'd love Seattle!  Or, the major west coast cities in general. :)

I hope so. I think that's actually my first choice, followed by Portland then San Francisco. Well, I dunno. San Francisco was in my top picks years ago, but I'm not feeling it so much anymore. I'm leaning towards North West coast cities for some reason. I really hope I can take a road trip and just hang out between Portland and Seattle for a while.

hey there is nothing wrong with just wearing band shirts as long as the bands are good.

I am, of course, kinda biased...Are Bauhaus, Black Flag, The Clash and Flux of Pink Indians good?

i'll agree with three of the four.  never really got into bauhaus.  never really attempted to either though so that might be ignorance on my end.

I already lurked the fuck (as I often do) out of Taxpayers. The first two of our mutual friends are The Unofficial Fans Of Noam Chomsky Myspace Page and Mischief Brew. That sold me.

I told you! It's weird, when I took the picture it looked super blurry (hence me saying I was upset about no macro setting), then when I looked at it on the computer, it was so clear. I was pretty happy.

...such simple things shouldn't make me so happy. Hah.

The simple things are the best things in life.

also the spider is kinda transparent.

OH MY GOD.
We're future roommates for sure.
I'm thinking about maybe moving to Portland next year. :D And if not next year, probably the year after. My home is always open to you!

And your new haircut/bangs is/are super cuuuute! And I love your outfits.

Ugh, I really want to visit before you move! Well, and before we become roommates.

My outfits these days solely consist of band shirts, cardigans, beanies and transitioning between the only 2 jeans I have left that fit me. Oh, and black faux-converse.
