Some people just need to find problems with everything and anything. Best thing to do is just blow it off, even if it gets old sometimes.

I'm not edge, and I'm not remotely religious, but you know what, I respect and at times almost envy people who have a belief. And as far as being edge - especially for those who aren't preachy edge - I have a lot of respect for people that are. I have a friend that's been edge for his entire life and he's 25 and I think that's pretty much the most awesome thing ever.

My 23rd birthday is next week and I've drank, smoke, or done anything.

I'm assuming that's sposed to be "never" drunk, smoked or done anything?

But seriously, you have my complete respect. Like I said, edge isn't for me - I used to drink a lot and take a lot of drugs (I don't do either anymore - actually my edge friend calls me "One X Viola" because the only thing that prevents me from effectively being edge is the fact that I smoke like a chimney.) but I truly respect those who are genuinely devoted to it. On the other hand, I have very little respect for edge breakers. I had a friend that was edge, and really militant about it in a horrible way - when I'd go out for a cigarette at work he'd yell after me about how they were going to kill me as if I didn't already know and look down on anyone who wasn't edge and then after about 18 months and his 'Edge for Life!" tattoo, he broke. But my friend who's been edge since birth, so to speak, has a healthy attitude about it. Basically, it's his body and out bodies are our own and he doesn't care what we want to do, as long as we don't try to force it on him. And he's quite hardcore about his beliefs - no alcohol in food even, no caffeine, no pain killers.

it's really shitty when people give you crap for your personal choices. I get it for being a vegetarian sometimes, people will say ridiculous things, like a complete stranger will be like "well if you don't eat fish you'll die!" and give me a huge lecture. and i'll just sit there nodding, and point out that i've spent a long ass time without eating meat and am perfectly fine, and they'll just keep trying to drag it on until i flat out change the subject. I don't understand why people choose to make something their business even though it has nothing to do with them!

I know this is kind of oldish, but I'm with you!

I'm also straight edge, and get shit from dbags because of it. I mean, I'm not at all preachy. I won't hang out with people who are fucking junkies, but I have friends who drink a lot, smoke, and even deal weed. It's supposed to be a personal choice, I don't force it on others. I'm not a christian or anything, but I think I get my fair share of douchebaggery from people about being vegan straight edge..

The shittiest part was that the "incident" that inspired this blog was from a GG.  Guess it was just another dumb tattoo'd broad.  Whatever.  I'm over it.

And I completely agree! That's what I love about the site, we stick together and have some form of comradery. That's good to hear she's not active though if that's happening, I'd rather that type not stick around, as we have plenty of super awesome and nice ladies who do take the time and effort to be active!
