Fable II and XBox 360
posted : 08/26/08 05:50 pm pst
listening to:

I don't play very many video games, but I bought a regular XBox a couple of years ago, for days when I was bored and just wanted to play some video games.  There are only a few that I really enjoy playing, but I got REALLY addicted to Fable.  After I had completed the entire game 5 or 6 times, I found out that there was a game out there called "Fable:  The Lost Chapters", so I bought that one too.  It was the same as the original Fable, but with extra lands and extra challenges and quests that were not in the original game.

I had read sometime last year that there would be a "Fable II" game coming out late this year.  I decided then, that I would buy an XBox 360 when that game comes out.  The game is scheduled for release on 21 October.  I just found out a few days ago that there is a "Fable II:  Pub Games" available via XBox Live, if you pre-order a copy of the Fable II game.  I was going to wait for the game to come out, but I went ahead and bought an XBox 360 a couple of days ago, so that I could pre-order the game and start playing the Pub Games on XBox Live.

With "Fable II:  Pub Games", you can play several different gambling games.  They will continue to loan you as much gold as you need, to continue gambling.  Through these games, you can increase your statistics as a gambler.  If you are good at the games, you can also gain gold and special items.  Once the Fable II game comes out, you will actually be able to combine your gambling character into your new Fable Hero, so you can have a little bit of a headstart, with several items, extra gold, and things like that.  So far, it turns out that I REALLY SUCK at these gambling games.  OK, I am not doing TOO badly, but I am currently in a little bit of debt, but I have work, house cleaning, cooking, etc. to do, so I have only had a few hours to play.  However, you continue to gain gambling experience as you play, so I have gone from a level 1 gambler to a level 3 gambler.  I think it only goes to level 5 gambler.  The higher levels you attain, as a gambler, the more games that become unlocked for you to play, and those higher games have bigger payouts (or bigger debts - HA HA HA).  If I can gain some gold and items then I will definitely integrate it with my character, when I get the game.  If I just end up with a big debt, then I will just start with a "fresh" character and not bother integrating them.  I just really HOPE that I get better at the gambling games, so that I start earning more gold and items for my character, so that I will have a little bit of a "head start", when I get the new game!

I can not wait for Fable II to come out.  I have been waiting for nearly a year, since I first heard that it would be coming out!  I LOVE the original game and the online information about Fable II looks like it will be even more awesome than the first one!  I have a feeling that I will not be doing much else, for a few weeks, once Fable II comes out!  I will probably be coming home from work each day and just playing for the next few hours, until bed time.

I decided to get the "XBox 360 Elite Bundle", because the "Elite" is black (so it matches my decor), and it comes with a 120 GB hard drive, a wireless controller, a free month of XBox Live Gold, a cool-looking Marvel game that I will probably play later, and some lame car racing game (I HATE car racing games, so I won't be playing that one).  I probably won't be using the XBox Live junk much, except for playing "Pub Games" and looking for new games and stuff later.  I prefer playing "standalone" games, where I am just playing against the computer.  My TV is an HDTV, and the XBox 360 came with HDMI cables, so I hooked it up that way.  This game system has AWESOME graphic quality.  I really like the XBox 360 so far.  I know some of you are thinking "gee, you are FINALLY getting an XBox 360???", but like I said before, I don't play video games very often, so I didn't have any need for one before.  Of course, I really NEED it now, because Fable II is finally going to be coming out!!!  WOOOHOOO!!!  :)

Fashion Show Pictures

Last night, the "Bombshell Boutique" was part of a fashion show, which included 4 or 5 local fashion stores.  I have still been "playing around" with my new camera, so I thought this would be another good way to "test it out".  I was pretty happy with most of the pictures.  They aren't professional, or anything, but they do look pretty good.  I love this camera SO MUCH!!!

One of the store owners and some of the models are friends of mine.  I got to take a lot of pictures of the show, and of some of my friends having fun during the after show partying.  We all had a really great time.  It was a LOT of fun.  Her shows are always really cool, though!

If anyone wants to see the pictures from that show, then they are in my Myspace album.  My profile is public, but you will probably be prompted to sign in to Myspace.

Bombshell Boutique is located in Sewickley, PA (near Pittsburgh).  It is a local, family-owned business.  They just opened their store a few years ago.  I "think" that you can order clothes through their website, but the website is currently closed for reconstruction.  The website is MYBOMBSHELLBOUTIQUE.COM or you can visit their Myspace page at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=13834467.  Their address and phone number are on their Myspace page, so go check them out, if you are near the area.

A friend of mine sent a message Thursday, saying that she was going to be in a bikini contest that night, at one of the local clubs.  I thought that would be a good way to "test out" my new camera that I bought a few weeks ago, and posted about in an earlier blog.  We hung out, had some drinks, then they had the contest.  The pictures that my new camera took, compared to my cheap little camera, were AWESOME!  I have no idea what I am doing with cameras, but it has a lot of "automatic" features, so I mainly just did the "point and shoot" thing.  I was surprised at the quality of the pictures, even in low light and with a lot of motion.  I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!!!

There were only 3 girls in the contest.  It turned out that another girl I know was also in the contest.  There was a third girl, with a white bikini and a cowboy hat, but I don't know her, so I didn't take many pictures of her.  Who in the heck wears a cowboy hat for a bikini contest, anyway????  :(

My friends were OK with me posting the pics to my Myspace account.  I did NOT ask them if I could post their pictures to a porn site (I have a feeling that they would not have wanted that), so I am not posting the pictures in this blog.  I am putting a link to my albums at the end of this blog, in case anyone wants to take a look at the difference in picture quality between my old and new cameras.  There is an album with a bikini contest from 15 May, which I had taken with my cheap little camera.  The bikini contest from 24 July is the one that I took with my cool NEW camera.  If you compare pictures from the two albums, you can definitely see a HUGE difference in quality!!!  One of my friends happened to be in both of those contests.  You can definitely tell a difference in clarity, focus, definition, etc., when you look at pictures of her from one album, in comparison to the other.

For both contests, it was about the same lighting conditions, and I was about the same distance from the stage.  The difference in quality is definitely JUST from the difference in the cameras.  I am SO HAPPY that I bought this new camera!

Here is the link to my albums.  My profile is public, but you will probably have to log into Myspace, because you are going directly to the photo albums.

Hi!

Go to Lou's page and show her some love!  She is one of the models, so just use the drop menu at the top of the page, or use this link Lou's profile.

Lou is really freakin' HOT!  She is also a lot of fun to message with.  She is funny, mature, intelligent, and all kinds of other cool stuff!!!  She likes tequila, she owns her own business, she has a great sense of humor, and there really is just not enough that I can say to properly describe her complete awesomeness!!!

Go visit her profile page, add her to your community, send her a private message, leave comments on her sets, send her gifts, or whatever!

OK!!!!  GO GO GO GO GO GO!!!!!!

My New TOY!!!

Not smoking for the past 3 days has led to two big problem-like things.

1.  Eating like a starving rhinoceros.

2.  Doing anything to keep busy, including going out to the mall, and other stores, to shop frequently.

I have had a cheap little digital camera for a while, but I had been thinking about getting a better one.  Today, I bought a Canon EOS Rebel XSi (EOS 450D) Digital SLR camera.  I also bought an extra zoom lens, a 4GB memory card, and the "starter kit" (camera bag, extra battery, and UV filter).  This camera has 12.2 Megapixels, for pretty high image quality.

I have absolutely no idea what I am doing, when it comes to cameras and taking pictures.  There are all kinds of neat little doodads and geegaws on this thing.  One of the reasons that I chose this camera is because it seems to be really user-friendly and it has fully "automatic" features.  I will still be able to just "point and shoot".  WOOHOO!!!  :)

I don't know when I will have a chance to take it out and take some pictures, but I am kind of excited to try it out.  I was talking to a friend of mine about possibly going out this Thursday night, to a local women's fashion show.  Her fashion store is one of the stores that will be modeling some of their outfits in the show.  I "might" end up going and taking my camera for a "test run".  That would be a pretty good way to find out how it does in indoor, low-light, distance shooting.  Of course, I rarely go out on work nights, so I don't know for sure if I will end up doing that, or not.

I might take it out to the trail where I do my running and walking, and take some pictures of flowers and stuff, just to test it out for those kinds of shots.  Who knows?  I have no idea yet when or where I will be "test shooting" my new toy.

Remember models, you can have friends shoot your DIYs, but they can not be professional photographers.  I am definitely NOT a professional photographer!  ::: HINT, HINT :::  :::WINK, WINK :::    HA HA HA

Here are a few pictures of the camera and the other stuff.

The stuff still in the boxes.

The stuff outside of the boxes.

Quitting Smoking
posted : 07/04/08 04:23 am pst
listening to:

I have decided to try quitting smoking again.  I currently have 3 cigarettes left in the pack.  When those are gone, later today, I am going to start wearing nicotine patches for a while, and I am going to quit smoking again.

I have been smoking a pack a day for about 22 years.  The longest that I have ever quit was for 4 months, about 5 years ago.  During that 4 months, I gained 40 pounds and said "screw it, I am going back to smoking".  I spent that entire 4 months as an incredibly miserable, irritable, short-tempered, scowling, unhappy individual.  I was seriously beginning to act like a typical non-smoker.  I kept asking people "why in the hell do you non-smokers even bother to get up in the morning, when your lives are this miserable?"  I was extremely disappointed to find out that the whole "things will smell better and food will taste better" thing is just a load a bullshit that non-smokers tell smokers, to try to trick them.  At around that same time, my wife quit for about a year.  Her experience was about as miserable as mine, and she also agreed that the smelling and tasting thing was bullshit.  If anything, the eating experience is WORSE, because you can't enjoy a nice cigarette afterward.

I have been working on getting my regular exercise and diet routine going, for the past few weeks.  Hopefully, I will be able to continue with that, to help counteract some of the weight gain that will occur, when my metabolism drops down to that of a non-smoker (yes - smoking actually DOES increase your metabolism - that part is not a joke).  The last time I quit, I spent most of my time lying on the couch in unfulfilled misery, because I just did not have the energy to get up and do anything.  Plus, there was no incentive to go out and exercise.  What in the hell is the point of doing a 3 mile run and then a brisk 9 mile walk, when you can't even enjoy the reward of a nice, relaxing cigarette when you are done?!?!?!  THAT is my regular routine, and the cigarette at the end is the BEST part of it!

My wife is also quitting again.  Luckily, I am stationed in the Pittsburgh area, and she is living in our home in another state.  If we were both quitting at the same time, in the same place, then we would definitely be in the newspapers for a murder or murder-suicide.  I don't know which one of us would end up killing the other first, but it would be one hell of a race, once we both started thinking and acting like a couple of filthy, nasty, disgusting, cruel, mean, heartless NON-smokers!  We both took last week off from work and spent 9 really nice days together.  We intentionally waited until AFTER that to quit smoking, because we didn't want to try to spend time together while quitting.  Neither of us is planning on visiting the other, until at least sometime in August.  I have a 4 day weekend starting today, so it is a good time to quit now, because during the first 4 days of becoming a non-smoker, I won't be tempted to send one of my co-workers flying through my second floor window!

Well, I guess I am about to embark on a life of unfulfilled misery.  I am about to voluntarily make my own life horrible again.  If any of you happen to see a news story about a 6'5", 250 pound man rampaging through the streets of Pittsburgh, grabbing people at random, tossing them around like rag-dolls, and finally being brought down by about 30 or 40 rounds of ammunition being shot into him by the police, then well... umm... you probably should not expect to ever see me posting again.

Has anyone else ever noticed that ever since they started all of this silly "anti-smoking" bullshit just a few years ago, in the 80s, there has been a marked increase in random violence, random shootings, people suddenly going psychotic for "no apparent reason", etc.?  Coincidence???  I think NOT!!!

P.S. - Only 2 cigarettes left!

12th Wedding Anniversary and our cat :)

Mine and my wife's 12th wedding anniversary was the 22nd of June. We have been together for a total of 14 years. We both always take that week off from work. We had discussed it, and we were both just "burned out" from work and wanted to spend time together, relaxing. We didn't feel like traveling this year, dealing with hotels, etc. She decided to just come up here and stay with me for the week, and we would do some fun "local things". For those of you that do not know, I am stationed in the Pittsburgh area, in the Army. She lives in our home in southern West Virginia. She has a great career with Verizon, so we did not want to mess with that, when I was getting stationed up here. It is about a 4 1/2 drive between here and home, so I have an apartment here, but it isn't too bad of a drive, if one of us wants to visit the other on a weekend, or something.

She has been up here since last Saturday. She will have to go back to home Sunday, to go to work on Monday. I will also be going back to work Monday. It is already Friday. I can NOT believe how fast this week has gone. We had 9 days total, but there are only a couple of days left. So far this week, we have gone to the zoo, the Carnegie Science Center, went out to dinner at a couple of our favorite places, plus we went to a restaurant that we had never been to, but we have been wanting to try. The meals at this new Italian place were kind of expensive, but it was authentic Italian food, and you get HUGE portions!!!! We were both really happy with that restaurant. We have also spent the past week taking turns sexually molesting each other on a frequent basis.

I gave her a necklace, as her anniversary gift. It is a 14 karat gold chain and pendant. The pendant is sort of a "wavy" design with 5 diamonds in it. The diamonds are 3/8 carat.  She doesn't usually wear much jewelry, but she really loved this necklace, because it matches the new wedding ring set that I just bought for her a little over a year ago. I didn't even realize that it matched, until she saw it and said something like "Oh my god! It matches my ring!" (Three cheers for accidental scores! HA HA HA) I bought her a metal jewelry box with two large hearts on the lid, and I had the hearts engraved with our names and the fact that it is our 12th wedding anniversary. I gave her the jewelry box as her "present", but I had the necklace inside the jewelry box. She had to open the box for the jewelry box, then open the jewelry box, then open the box for the necklace, to get to the necklace. She got a good a laugh out of having to go through all of those boxes to get to her real gift, because I do that kind of silly stuff to her all of the time. Seriously, I have no idea how she has put up with me for 14 years. LOL

Our cat lives with her, back home.  He has his own set of toys, food dishes, water fountain, etc. up here, for when he visits.  My wife brought him up with her, so I get to spend time with him too.  I spoil our cat "almost" as much as I spoil my wife!  :)

This is our cat "Re" (pronounced Ray).

This is the jewelry box that I gave to my wife.

This is her new necklace.

Gotta go.  We are getting ready to go out for dinner.

Thank you for all of the "Thank Yous"

A few of the models on this site have recently made some journal entries, thanking me for doing some nice things for them.  I just wanted to say "THANK YOU" back to all of you!

Some of the posts were about GG necklaces that I sent to a few of the ladies.  When talk of the necklaces first started about the necklaces, I just KNEW that I really wanted to get one for "NYX", because I think of her as my little "buddy"!  She is just TOO SWEET to even properly describe!!!

I immediately told her not to order one for herself, when they go on sale.  Once they showed up in the store, I had one sent to her.  When I saw how excited she was about getting one, I decided to send some to a few other people, just because I like doing nice things for nice people.  You should definitely all go show some love for "NYX", because if it wasn't for her, I would probably never have thought to do that.

I STILL can not get over the fact that the models on this site consistently go out of their way to show appreciation for all of the members, whenever they can.  It is probably one of the things about this site that makes so many people love it so much!!!  It is so much nicer than having models that you never communicate with, who basically think "they should all worship me, because they get to look at pictures of me naked".

Once you have gone and shown some love for "NYX", then be sure to also show some love for Lou, Eva, and Maga.  They have all been so nice about showing love for me!  :)

I just looked in the online store.  The necklaces look like they are still in stock.  I don't know how many are left, but there were only 40 made.  With all of the posts that I have seen, where people have already ordered them, you may want to put your order in, as soon as you can.  They will probably be "out of stock" soon.  Remember, they make EXCELLENT gifts!!!!  Believe me, the models get all kinds of excited when they know that they are getting one.  You might want to consider sending one as a gift to your favorite model, or a model that you are good friends with!

A lot of the other models show love for me, and other members, on a consistent basis.  Sorry that I am not naming everyone individually.  This is mainly a response to a few of the recent journal entries that I saw, where models were specifically posting things for/about me.  It is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

XOXOXO

Chris

Myspace and Livevideo Friend Requests

I get a lot of spam/junk/random friend requests through Myspace.  Now that I have signed up for Livevideo.com, to be subscribed to the GodsGirls channel, I am also getting a lot of those types of requests through there.

The only people on my Myspace friends list are people that I know in real life, and people from this site that have sent me friend requests.  If I have ever disapproved your friend request through Myspace or Livevideo, then it was only because I didn't recognize you.  If any of you send me a friend request through Myspace or Livevideo, then please also send me a short message, letting me know who you are, so I don't disapprove your request, because I don't realize that you are a member/model from this site.  You can send the message through Myspace/Livevideo, send me a PM through GodsGirls, or even just post an entry to this blog, letting me know that you sent a friend request (be sure to tell me your username associated with the friend request, because if I have multiple requests at the same time, then I will still be confused).

If you have not already seen the new GodsGirls livevideo channel, then be sure to check it out.  It is located here http://www.livevideo.com/godsgirls .  If you don't already have a livevideo account, then create one and subscribe to the GodsGirls channel.  When you are on the GodsGirls channel, you need to click on the "videos" tab at the top of that page.  From the "videos" page, you will see the "subscribe" button, so that you can sign up for their channel.  Annaliese is planning on having a live broadcast every Thursday evening (I think).  It will be lots of fun, so go sign up now.

Thanks!!!
