I LOVE animals!  I wish I could sleep in the pens with the animals, but I know the zoo won't let me.  Of course, I don't really want to be eaten by an animal, so it is probably for the best that they won't allow me to sleep in the pens!  LOL

The polar bears there are really cool.  They are HUGE in real life!  You can't tell from the picture, but that is a really big bear!

Thanks!  I definitely love going to the zoo.  I kind of wish that I worked in a zoo.  I love animals.  They are so much nicer than people!  You know, as long as they aren't eating you, or anything.  :)

DEFINITELY a deal!!!  We also have "Kennywood", which is a pretty cool amusement park with fun rides.  If you make it here, then be sure that you are here for at least TWO full days!  ;-)

Thanks!  The polar bears were really cool.  That picture was taken from inside the glass tunnel that goes under the tanks for some of the aquatic exhibits.  They just recently opened that thing.  I really enjoyed that.

You know what, I really miss the aviary in Pittsburgh, used to be into birds as a kid, loved the crow there who they taught to speak little phrases like "who what where why" :)

Yeah, the aviary is nice.  I have only gone there once, but I didn't see the talking crow.  They had a show with a predatory bird, but I can't remember which one now.  It was a few years ago, when I went.

Yeah, that was like my favorite place to go when I was a little kid visiting my grandparents out there.

There was basically fuck all to do out there and being a pretty nerdy kid, I became interested in the variety of birds out on my grandma's bird feeder.  I ended up building a few traps (humane traps), to catch a few finches.  Caught some sparrows and finches, even a goldfinch, but never did capture the grand prize I was after though:  a bright red cardinal :)

I haven't been to the zoo in years & years so i must say i'm a wee bit jealous!
