So today was MMI 8. This was the first time I've ridden over ten miles in a long ass time. It was so much fun! It was the first time that I had been to most of the areas I road through but I still managed to finish in the top half of riders. It was super exciting!
The High-Hat Garage was an awesome finishing point. Free food, free beer, and someone bustin' out the jams! The girl that was dj-ing was awesome! Killer moves and gorgeous on top of it! Thanks for playing all the bangers! I can never hear enough old-school gangster rap!
I can't wait for tomorrow when we wrap up the weekend with a 2-vs-2 polo competition!
Not to pumped about the weather situation that rolled in at the conclusion of the race. Heavy snow and sleet with a forcast of 3 to 5 inches by tomorrow. We'll make the best of it I'm sure.

Yeah it was an amazing weekend!
I ended up finding a partner for the tournament. We played pretty well through the round-robin tourney but got knocked out of the braket in the first round.
DAMN!
Milwaukee as a whole played really well though. Everyone represented the club really well from the rookies to the vets. Plus a Milwaukee team ended up taking home the win, and got their hands on some wheels as well as some custom hip pouches from Shaggy for holding their tools or beer or whatever they've got.
All in all this was an excellent weekend and I can't wait for MMI 9 next year!

I wish my city had bike messenger races. My pal, another member on here, broke his collarbone on one up in Toronto. Fucking legit shit!

But yeah, I think I might have to find some more races around here because it was a blast! I bet if you look around a little you could find one in your area!

I'm glad it's finallyyyy done snowing! but now that I've said that, I've probably jinxed us and we'll somehow manage to get snow again.
