The name that Tori came up for me that I really wanted was too long and twitter wouldn't let me have it.  I was kinda bummed.  But I'm over it and focusing more on grapefruits with honey and lemonade popsicles these days.  That's the second time I've referenced popsicles in this journal.  Can you tell what my brain is focused on these days?

Comic Con came and went pretty quickly here.  I don't feel as awestruck or excited by the event as much as I do annoyed by the traffic increases it causes me.  But I did get to go down one day with my boyfriend and walk about.  Saw an impressive pimp liesure boba fett and vader, those kinda made up for the intense amounts of poorly done steam punk costumes seen  this year.  What made steam punk hit so hard this year?!  Twilight isn't steam punk, and neither is twitter, so if there was some kind of phenomenon that I missed that prompted this, then I guess I'm kinda stoked on that.  Anyone else have any explanations for this??

Well the main reason I DID in fact trek down to the con was to see GG Mia who was in town for the event.  Her and her boyfriend stayed with me a few years back for the event, and mentioned they were back for it this year, and so we went for epic nomz.  I kinda feel silly saying that, which I normally don't.  I'm going to blame that on the heat as well.  The only real picture I got of our time together was the epic nomz, so I guess this is all you get.  Miss Mia is on the left hand side, though, so that kiiiinda counts as a picture with her!  My food with her food and her?

If you guys haven't lurked her amazing boobs yet, you need to go over to see Devika's debut DIY.  Cause it's amazing.  We went out for lunch a little bit ago, and turns out we actually kinda know each other from a long time ago and didn't realize it cause it had been awhile.  So that's fun and made for some fun chit chat over chinese food.  She's super cute and has adorable bangs and a squishy adorable lil face, and her first DIY was amazing, and makes me really excited for her other sets in the future!

And then last week(ish) Romy came to the U.S. to visit!  She is so fun and funny and I cannot wait to see the sets she shoots while she is here and oggle them!  Met up with her at the Beauty Bar, along with Linden.  It was Linden's tattoo shop's 15th anniversary party.  There was food and booze and vegan cupcakes with gold flakes on them.  I ate three in hopes I would poop gold.  I didn't, and I was sad, but I am going to try to make some gold covered cupcakes from heaven and eat many more than three to test what the required amount of gold-covered cupcakes is to turn one's stool glistening and glimmery.

I really hate the Beauty Bar here in San Diego, and only went to see Romy and Linden and hug them tightly.  The bartender started to kick Romy and I out cause we were talking and not helping clean up the party that a. I didn't have anything to do with, and b. Romy helped them set up earlier, and c. Linden had explained that we were chill and were with the shop and shit, and d. that bartender lady was just being a cuntrag.  But the typical bartender cuntness mixed with their incredibly high prices for their jack n cokes make me really not like BB SD.  So if you live in/near/are visiting San Diego, I compel you to NOT go to the Beauty Bar.  Unless you want your wallet and your ego raped.  Rant rant rant hate hate hate.

Phoenix was in town visiting and staying with BrianStreetTeam.  Brian is rad and we hadn't seen each other since Comic Con last year where we had shirt swapping adventures.  But Phoenix?  She's so cute.  And hot.  And hilarious.  And girly.  And I was pretty stoked to get to go out with her.  We went to a rad bar called Hamilton's (ten million times radder than the aforementioned Beauty Bar).  Hamilton's has food.  Which is amazing.  And so many beers.  Only beer and wine, no spirits.  Like a hundred rotating beers.  I had this delicious fruity pear cider thingy.  It was so bueno and got me very tipsy.  We had food with our beers, and I had the amazing vegan "cattle decapitation" burger.  Mmmmmmm <33

Then Brian met up with us at the barrrrr.

And then we went back to my house where I baked cupcakes in basically my underwear and Brian demonstrated what he would do if a penis were to go into his mouth region.

The past two weeks have been uber productive for me.  The mansauce's semester started, and our schedules are a little opposite, but that's ok, that's what happens when people are in school and work and doing life stuffs.  Been hitting the gym, going to yoga, pilates, painting, hanging out with the dog a lot and giving her lots of frozen treats to help her through this heat wave.  I'm considering putting a few things I'm looking to get rid of on ebay, but I've never done it and it kinda scares me a little bit.  I've always just dropped off old clothes at a Salvation Army or whatever.  Totally new territory for me.

Also, if you haven't seen District 9 yet, do yourself a favor by seeing one of the best movies of the year.  It's in the number one spot in my list.  Inglourious Basterds is in the 1.5 spot.  G.I. Joe is in the 769th spot.  Cause it sucked.  And there were too many Star Wars references.  And I hate that.  Leave Star Wars alone you idea stealers!!!  Rant rant rant hate hate hate
