dear city of west hollywood,
i realize that technically it was my own fault for not moving all overgrown shubbery to ensure it was not blocking a sign that said i couldn't park where i did tuesday night past 7am on wednesday morning. fine, it's my fault you towed my car. i came & picked it up, i paid your outrageous $184 bag of fees even though you're still going to ask me to pay the city $60 for my bullshit parking ticket. FINE!
but you did, in fact, damage my car when you towed it. i know this because now there are a plethora problems that did not exist prior to you towing my car! it is now sitting at the mechanics waiting for judgement to be passed. i have $200 to last me the rest of this month now, and i am guessing it will cost at least that much to fix my car.
this afternoon when i called and politely explained the problem and asked what steps i needed to take/paperwork needed to be filled out for you to rectify the situation the manager of this tow lot proceeded to scream at me that they did not damage my car because they "only touch the wheels". i don't know how i feel about a man managing a tow lot that is not familiar with the procedure of towing a car--but that is a different matter for another upset resident of your fine city to address. my real issue is the fact that the manager told me there was no paperwork (contrary to the person who originally answered the phone that asked if i had filed a claim form with the office) and that if i thought anything was going to be done i could "just fucking sue" you. aside from being yelled at, talked over, told i had no idea what i was talking about, and being intentionally given incorrect information i found my interaction with your towing facility to be fast & easy. perhaps you should consider replacing the person i spoke with, or better yet sending him to some type of anger management course. i distinctly recall saying "i am speaking to you calmly and without raising my voice and would appreciate the same consideration from you" shortly before he told me "LISTEN! YOU ARE NOT... LISTEN TO ME!!!"
long story short, i am incredibly disappointed and enraged. i did nothing to warrant his response and frankly, i think you can all go fuck yourselves.

The city of Los Angeles is a joke..its like they plan to fuck people over by not triming shrubs, so in fact you cant see the sign..then they bring in the tow company to make a couple of bucks, then to seal the deal they mail you a ticket in place of a "sorry about you're car" Shit sucks. I fucking hate shit like that; my car got towed in the parking lot of my work, and I had to pay $700 to get it back. The parking lot attendant was acting like a douche, like, "Oh ho ho, where's your car?" I told him that I was going to hire a hitman to murder his entire family.

It's one of the worst things about L.A.; the way they treat people that own automobiles. They know they can ream us for whatever moeny they want. I've actually started taking pictures of my car with my cell phone when I park so I have some kind of physical evidence of where and when I was there. And living in Hollywood has gotten, like ten times worse in the past 3 years or so.
Fucking blows.

if it were me i would go in uniform and tell them if they didn't work with me i would have inspectors out their ass combing through everything, but since your not me i say tell them you are in the process of getting a lawyer and seeking legal action, an dmake sure you get ahold of the head person(the boss of the person you talked to).

I don't think I have told you this, but I love your letters. They are always a good time, cause frankly you are more of an asshole than I could hope to be. It sucks you got yelled at, because I fucking hate that shit. I am soft spoken, but for some reason people think it is necessary to yell at me when we have a dispute. I never raise my voice. also I love the fact you have dinosaur in your name, because it rules.

yeah i think you're quite right.. considering the mechanic just told me my muffler & tailpipe need to be replaced i'm pretty sure that's something that could easily be attributed to a car being towed improperly.
