so, i've reconnected with last.fm.  i've missed it.  i have to re-listen to a lot of music so that it starts recommending me stuff again.

i'm sick, laying in bed on my day off.  it looks quasi sunny outside but my widget says that its supposed to rain.  i made myself a pot of tim hortons coffee this morning and i swear that shit is like crack.  i'm' sweating from it.  i have to pee every 5 minutes.  bleh.  whatever.  maybe its the fact that i probably shouldn't be drinking coffee when i'm sick?  yeah, thats probably it.

so, who's all at coachella>?  i'm suverely jealous becuase i was supposed to be there but alas, i had to go somewhere else instead which was last weekend.  the funeral.  it was really sad and it was hard for me to keep my shit together but it was nice to make it back there and kind of quietly say goodbye.  i did get to see apneatic and zee picnic which was cool.  also got to see my friend jim who i haven't seen in ages, met her husband.  he is sending me a care package of her things.  i'm excited to get it.

she introduced me to makeup.  funny enough, i do makeup now.

anyway,  io is on her way to bk and i'm sure she will be ringing my doorbell sometime soon.  not sure what we're going to be doing yet but whatever.

i got into the contest for the scholarship, so i'll be doing that next sunday.  i have a week to make a dress, i think its time to start getting stressed out.  i'm confident, i'll be alright i'm sure.  i hope i get the scholarship.

i also have to get my teeth pulled out this month.  i cant remember the date so i should probably call but, i'm not looking forward to that bill and the pain.  i wont be able to smoke for a week so i think i'm going to try to quit smoking.  we'll see how that goes over.

jorma gets here on the 13th which is just in time for the GG/Alumni/CupCake/Overspray party at High Voltage.  I beleive I'm having a meeting about this today.  I will post more details when I have them for you but I beleive Sinead and I are going to be baking Cupcakes to give out.  Also, I will have the aussie in my possesion (Charlotte).

Anyway. Thats all for now.  I have no new pictures.  Maybe I'll post some later.

hi,

so the last journal was super depressing, i figured i should probably say something a little happier right?

i've been working my ass off and finally i can look forward to having a day off next saturday.  that day off will be spent in the lovely comfort of my bed doing as little as physically possible with my computer. 

i had a couch dilema.  there was this couch that lived in my kitchen and has been there since i moved in here in january.  anyway, this girl bought the couch and was super adement about not having people use it (which is rather difficult because i don't have the biggest apartment ever).  so, finally, i was about to have house guests and i told my roomate that i'd sleep on the couch if need be.. she told the girl who owned it, the owner was not so happy about that.  long story short, the girls boyfriend is a hot head and decided that it was my fault that the USED couch was stained and i was to pay the dry cleaning bill.  okay dude, the couch has been living in my apartment for 4 months for free, its in the kitchen where people cook, there are sheets on the damn thing AND go ahead and blow me cause i'm not paying your damn dry cleaning bill.  so, the next day, they came and got the couch.  i didn't realise how big my kitchen is.  now, i will look for a cute dinette table to stick in the kitchen.

i'm listening to a song that kat introduced me to, jeff buckley, oh how i adore thee.  i wish he was alive so that i could go see him play.  speaking of seeing bands, daniel johnston is playing in new york on may 16th at a show that was curated by david bowie and the damn thing is sold out.  not to mention thats the same night as the new york party (that i will post way more details about when i get them).

im' talking to the virgin right now on aim.  i love her, she's a good.

so, friends in l.a, when are you going to come visit me?  i'd really like that.

i'm getting a benni memorial tattoo, her favorite flowers were peonies so my friend tim is going to tattoo a peonie on me.

i'm at work and it looks like i should be making tea but, antony is doing it. 

i just got back from seattle/portland/spokane.  t'was a good time.  i love oregon.  its such a good town, even more so, i love katie.  we figured out we see eachother about once a month which works out nicely.  on that note, she will be on this side of the world in a couple of weeks.  not much longer to wait.

i think we're also going on a bike ride tomorrow.  possibly a picnic?  i finally have a day off in the city. 

i think i'm finally rested for the first time in about 2 weeks.  i feel great today.

now, i will go play sudoku until there is another head of hair i have to wash.

so, i tried posting a journal the other day but it woudln't let me for some reason.  it was long and had lots of useless information in it.

anwyay, i'm on day 879358 of working in a row.  that's not actually true but that's what it feels like.  i have 4 jobs now but i love all of them and enjoy doing every single one of them.  its good to have a bunch of different things on the go.  i like having different scenery and people to meet and such.  it's quite lovely.

i just talked to nadja, i'm going to shoot a DIY set of her this week.  maaaaaybe i'll also shoot another one of myself?  it's been a while right?  yeah, i think so.  gina, come over, i'll make pictures of you.

i'm waiting for my white paint to dry on my piece of cardboard i'm painting on.  i like having paint on my hands.  it's nice.  make's me feel like i'm doing something.

i just finished reading ham on rye today by bukowski.  it was a really good book.  i heard that a lot of his novels are all generally the same concept but i'd like to read more of them.  someone lovely got me a book of poetry by bukowski but alas, that person is unable to deliver the goods until april.  ah well, i have 3 other books sitting on my shelf i need to read before i go getting any new ones so i will wait.

i read the heart is deceiftul above all things a month ago or so and a girl at the salon told me about the movie that asia argento did.  i had no idea there was a movie so jnthn escorted me last night to find it.  bought it, watched it... it's fuuuucked up but, good.  i really liked it.  that jt leroy.  a.k.a "punk rock mom from san francisco".  tricky one. 

i'm not going to go back and correct any of my spelling or grammar mistakes in this journal.  i'm rebelling against english.

tuesday is my dear friend vanessa bley's first solo acoustic show.  it's going to be awesome, she's coming into the salon before so i can blowdry her hair.  there's another show earlier in the night i have to go to... brit.  it's going to be a good night.

i'm taking a yoga class on wed after work with a couple other friends.  it's just going to be the 4 of us i believe.  i'm rather excited.

i'm laying in my bed eating nacho's.  or am i really on a safari in the depths of africa... or swimming with penguins in alaska.  who knows.

anyway, today was good.  i woke up quite please with the morning and decided to stay in bed another 3 hours after i was awake.  went for coffee, walked around the neighborhood.  i managed to get babel (movie), a nick cave & the badseeds album and 2 books (one of them - house of 1000 leaves) for under 25$.  one of the lyrics in the song 'green eyes' says 'this useless old fucker with his twinkling cunt.'  i'm amused by that.

um, so kate's been gone for a long time... that bum's me out but she said something about coming back out here for the release of cupcake which makes me pretty happy.  the website is up p.s - www.acupcakeorange.com  go and look at it.  there's not much to it yet but its being worked on everyday.  and thaaaat means, the dvd is going to be out soon!!

so i typed this whole long bullshit and i accidentally closed the tab.

anyway, im home from tour now.  katie left me the other day to go back west... that was very sad.  i think both of us almost cried until i shut the door.  we didn't even really think about the fact that she was leaving until her car was outside my place to pick her up.  thats when it got sad but, i'm going to see her soon.  she'll be back here soon... cupcake release...

anyway, i've been running around getting shit done since i got home.  laundry, appointments and such all made.  i have a doctors apopintment and hair cut coming up this weekend.  i also got a call from iggy's to see if i could bartend this weekend so i'll be doing that as well.  i'm quite excited about that one... though its going to be kind of funny working in the bar where i met said male brit.  who, i am going to see sometime soon i believe. 

my roomate brought home this russian cake that i've been eating little peices of for the past hour or so.  i guess i shouldn't really sit in my kitchen.  it just makes me think of food but the internet is better in here cause its closer to nadja's apartment.  (i steal her internet)

i walked around a bunch today with vanessa.  we found an art store that had 9x12 canvas on sale for 1.39$ so of course i bought 2 and some paint.  i also searched all over lower east manhattan for yarn and couldn't find any until oh, wait, what?  THERE WAS A STORE 2 BLOCKS FROM WHERE WE STARTED.  great right... fuck.

so, we're somewhere upstate new york stuck in a snow blizzard.  we had to cancel the rochester show tonight because we were stuck on the freeway driving 30 miles an hour so that we woudln't die.  the hotel we're in is kind of reminding me of an old log cabin,  it has really high ceilings and smells like wood. 

i am watching the simple life on t.c out of the corner of my eye because i too, liker many other people am endlessly entertained by this show.  i don't have the sound on becuase i'm listening to all the new music i've been stealling from people.

speaking of music and music related things, i got myself a new iPod.  its beautiful, black and holds so much music.  I had forgotten that I gave chris a bunch of my music before my old iPod died so i'm stoked to have some of it back.  I had this frank black francis album that i thought i'd never be able to find again and low and behold, it was on chris's iPod from when i stayed at his house in november. 

i get home in 4 days.  i'm excited, i miss my house and my new cat friend.  i think i'm going to invest in a bedframe to get my mattress off the floor. 

hey, guess what, hey, hey... anna nicole smith died.  I FUCKING KNOW.  its on every goddamn channel.

so, i was thinking about going to austin for sxsw and my major deciding factor was going to be if jorma went but, aparently the dumb shit isn't going so i'm debating wether or not i want to scrape together the (not so expensive) flight to austin.  I will have places to stay for sure but goddamnit is sxsw ever expensive.  maybe i can charm my way into getting cheap tickets or get someone to give me a pass...  shoud i go?

start my hair apprentice job when i get home... i will be receiving a new haircut and finally a professional dye job asap.  i've been doing it all myself way too long and goddamn is it ever a pain in the ass to dye the back of my head.

i kind of have to pee but, i'd rather fall asleep. the computer on my lap is making me warmer that i want to be.  

i have new interview's going up soon i beleive.
