YO DUDES! how's it going? long time no speak... i'm sitting in Brenna's basement in Des Moines, Iowa....giving her a little (well long) visit. Pretty stoked. We went to a strip club a few nights ago... when we were waiting to get in..Brenna pointed out a copy of "Midwest Nights", the erotic entertainment magazine out here, and said "that girl is hot!". my immediate response was "THAT IS STILETTO!" hahahaha, who is FUCKING HOT! Brenna and I are actually going to see Tegan and Sara in Minneapolis on Monday. I wrote Stiletto to see if she was dancing that night because Brenna and I want to go give her all of our money, but she hasn't written me back.
By the way, i LOVE TEGAN and SARA. and by love, i mean, that either one of those sisters wanted to date me, i would turn my back on men forever. ha! Brenna's husband Paul keeps making fun of us because we are super excited. I keep making jokes about how I am going to go to the show wearing a tegan and sara shirt with t & s pins on it, with t &s suspenders, and make a posterboard. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I guess it's been so long since I've gone to a pretty large show like this, with a band that i really like playing who are not already my friends or someone i've already seen 384293874923 times. Although I'm not even close to a superfan, I actually really fucking enjoy their music. They are playing with Cyndi Lauper and the B-52s which will also be pretty rad.
So, living in San Francisco has been fucking amazing. i have a fucking awesome home on haight street with amazing roommates. one of them is one of my best friends now. it's not even that i need to live there, it's that i want to. and that is a good feeling. I love it there, and i love going home there when i get off tour. i also love that i have not dated or fucked anyone there ever. makes my life so much easier.

If you've ever met or hung out with me, you would know that I (and annaliese!) am one of the biggest smokers you've ever met. and i always will be. my friends get cautious smoking around me but let's be honest... i am NEVER going to be 100% cool with it. ill manage, but never be cool. i will always think about smoking that cig. always. it's not your fault i can't take anything in small portions so light the fuck up! smoke away! i'd be doing it if i could. i just want everything to be as normal as possible because if everyone tries to act differently about it i'll lose my mind. it's already abnormal enough for me not to have a parli light in my mouth at all times. and a disclaimer...i will NEVER quit smoking weed so you can just go ahead and get that right out of your thoughts!

the very first time i ever did anything to my natural hair, i bleached it blonde. it has been bleached blonde since the first time i did it. sure, i've added color underneath...couple chunks up top, but blonde has suited me forever. well, that's over with..for a long time. i went chocoloate. about 3 days ago. see:

DEAD TO ME is recording a new album. it's going to be amazing. aside from a little canada run this september, and the gainesville fest halloween weekend, i will be home (when i get back from iowa) for awhile. if there are some GG events you might see me there. and with that said, i will be coming on here and lurking your vaginas and member journals a lot more. (internet access everyday for things other than deal memos, set times, load in times and other managerial things is AMAZING!)

i am in Iowa. whoo! hanging out with brenna and paul.
ive been having so much fun here, that i have no idea when i'm going home. haha, weird..iowa, right? well duh, because Bren is here, and dexter and lunchbox, and also a very hot guy that i am now enamored by.
i also moved to san francisco, in case any of you didn't know.
just been working on books, and dead to me stuff...getting ready to be touring all year, which makes me happy because #1, for obvious reasons, and #2, i will get to see tons of you because i expect that we will be hitting europe, and the UK, and we will mos def be hitting canada, and all over the US. CANADA! I GET TO SEE MY BELOVED WREN! EXCITING!!!!!!
however, touring fulltime this year probably won't be starting until April.
i miss everyone. looking at everyone's pages and myspaceys make me sad that i am not always around.
i hope everyone is doing a-ok, if not very well, and i cant wait to see some more tittays and more of your faces in real life this year.
