Doc Johnson's stuff are mostly plastic or rubber. which is no good because you can't sterilize them.

Silicone! I recommend anything by Vixen Creations because most of theirs are realistically shaped and of fairly good size; you can find their stuff at Blowfish.com or Goodvibes.com. Pyrex glass and metal are good, but silicone is great to start out with.
