This song has been in my head for days......
Life has been tough, but just like Jerry said, I just keep truckin on. I am so excited because I'm booked in to get my new tattoo started on Wednesday!! However, since I'm spending money on that, my dreams of a big, fancy new Halloweenie costume have been detoured. I am still sticking to the vampire theme, but I've decided to recycle my Cleopatra costume and be Akasha from The Vampire Chronicles. Not sure anybody will get it, without explaination, but I really want to do it. It gives me a good excuse to re-read the books (At least The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned) and be a nerd.
I am really excited about my friends wedding on the 10th. She's one of my really close friends, so it's gonna be a blast. So many of my friends from out of town will be here. Which will be super stellar, since I feel a little like all my girl friends have either A. Moved away amd are super busy B. Gotten Married C. Fallen off the face of the planet. All except Morgan, Kelly, and Whitney, thank goodness. But in the same breath, Whitney is moving to Vegas soon. Le Sigh.
I need some new lady friends to talk about stupid stuff with :( Any takers??
Here's a few pictures from the weekend...

Is anyone else really excited about this?

I also watched The Philadelphia Story again this morning. It was made back in 1940, starring Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn and Jimmy Stewart. It's hilarious and I think it's one of those movies that transcends generations. Cary Grants abilities as a comedian are amazing. He may have been absolutely gorgeous, but he was also extremely talented. This is one of my favorites parts, but by far, not the best. If you haven't seen it, check it out.
In my opinion, a perfect film.
Hugs and snuggles

You are just so damn beautiful Sadie! I seriously doubt you could take a bad picture even if you tried.
The Philadelphia Story and Bringing Up Baby are my fave Grant/Hepburn films. I don't know about you but i think the two of us are pretty much movie soul mates. What ya think? ; )
Sadie

I love Concrete Blonde. Johnette Napolitano is super talented.
I know what you mean about friends being married or disappearing - most of mine are now, too.
As wonderful as Halloween is, the tattoo is more important! : )
I'm not sure how I feel about that Alice film. I don't think the Sci-Fi Channel (I don't like the new "SyFy" spelling) has a great track record with their own movies, however I did hear good things about that Tin Man film. I'm really looking forwad to Tim Burton's "Alice In Wonderland" next Spring!
Who doesn't love Cary Grant!? "Philadelphia Story" is a great film. Also one of my favorites is "Arsenic and Old Lace". :)

I really liked Tin Man, which is part of the reason I'm so stoked for this one!
Arsenic and Old Lace is seriously one of my favorite movies of all time. Cary Grant's expressions in that movie KILL me, he's so frickin funny. He really is such a good physical comedian.

I'll have to Netflix "Tin Man".
Yeah, Cary Grant was a comedic genius. I think people totally underextimate the power of a great comedic performer. The Awards rarely go to such actors anymore.

You know, I can't actually remember any descriptions of Akasha's clothing. Time to re-read!

I just started to and I really forgot how much I loved those books :)
