So, my boyfriend and I have been trying to decide whether or not this whole Twitter thing is worth a try. It kind of freaks me out, only because everyone on the planet has an account, but I have yet to hear an actual function for the website. So, basically its like a whole site devoted to updating your facebook status? I don't know, I kind of want to get one to see what all the hoop-la is about, but am I just wasting my time?

i don't really understand the concept, i have one and for some reason people will follow me even though i rarely update? Haha it just seems like another social networking fad where the point is to have the most friends.

When I first found it I was thinking... wtf... why?? It's just like updating your status on facebook/myspace... but without the profile. Kinda lame if you ask me. I still use it when I think about it though but I get annoyed at reading the status of people who can't get away from it... it's just overkill.

I spent ages trying to work out what it was for...then decided that I'm lousy at updating my facebook so probably would be a daft idea :)

dude, i dunno. i am firmly set against twitter, it's like a step up from facebook in creepiness. why does everyone have to know what everyone else is doing, allllll the time?

A friend of mine recently got an account and honestly I like the Idea. But probably not for me since i rarely up date any of my other pages...or /is/ it?! because all I'd have to do is write a sentence. No real thinking or sense making required :D I like that too.

i heard about this place and its great if you are someone who has fans that woldlie to check out on what your doing other then that you just mooch around reading other poeples journals or updates? sounds like every other site im on lol i decided not to join that badnwagon lol
