So dan and I were talking about these awesome coffin couches, since Maya was talking about them. Apparently it's a technically a biohazard to have one, because once a body has touched it that's what it becomes. Also, because of some cosmetic issues with some coffins the funeral homes just have them laying around. So I thought, hey let's call one to see if they'll 'recycle' one to us to use for a set and maybe make into a couch later. I mean fuck, worst case scenario, if I die there's my coffin right?
Morbid I know, but fascinating, yes?
Anyway, we were talking about coffins and I remembered a funeral from when I was four. I couldn't understand why my grandma was asleep in this weird bed. So I asked my mom if she would be waking up, or something to that extent. I remember her telling me, "no baby, she has wings now". I ran up to the coffin and kept trying to put my hand in when no one was looking to see if I could lift her up to find her wings. Dan nearly died of laughter when I told him.
lmao, I don't know if anyone caught me doing that, I don't remember. I just remember hating formal wear and long drives after that.
Anyway, I need to crash for the night.

A coffin couch... what a great place to sleep! People will always think you're dead... then when they get close to inspect you... you can scare the living shit out of em! lol

I think a coffin couch sounds awesome, but I'm pretty morbid too. A few weeks ago I was um-ing and ah-ing about buying this tiny little oooold creepy looking child's wheelchair from a thrift store to have as a decoration in my house. A coffin couch would be waaay cooler though!
