Listening to: Modest Mouse- The Good Times Are Killing Me
So I applied to about 6 different jobs last Thurs. I have yet to hear back from any of them, but it hasn't been long. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I need the money so so bad. I am totally broke and don't have long before I'll have to start paying off my student loans. I would also looove to move out of my parents' house. I have no privacy here and that sucks especially when I want to spend time on this site. I don't even have an internet connection or wireless in my bedroom (booo). As soon as I have enough, I'm outta here, fo sho.
Anyways... I rented some movies the other night.
The Last Winter, acclaimed by some NY Times reviewer as "The scariest movie of the year," totally blew. It was really boring and not scary at all. Even the special effects sucked.
I also watched Scotland, PA, a modern take on Macbeth. It was pretty funny and Walken is in it, so score one there.
Last, I tried to watch Teeth last night. I didn't realize it was gonna start out with a graphic rape scene, and I had a pretty bad panic attack (bad memory trigger). Luckily my man was there to help me stop crying and calm down. Then he got me a big bowl of peanut butter tracks ice cream and held me till I felt all better. I love him a lot. He's gotten really good at helping me through those times. It ain't easy, but somethings making him stick around through it, so I'm not complaining. We turned off that movie and watched The Brothers Solomon instead, which was totally goofy. Will Arnett rules.
Today we skipped past the bad parts in Teeth and watched the rest, which is basically the main girl taking revenge on all the creepy assholes by chomping their dicks off with her vagina teeth. I wish every woman came equipped with those (only to be used when necessary of course). Too bad it was fiction.
