i'm going home soon! i'm sad but totally relieved in a way...i'm starting to miss my family and i have so much stuff to do when i get home, it's kind of ridiculous. o.0 going to be really busy the first week or two when i get back. i also can't wait for thanksgiving! i am dying for delicious mexican food. i'm going to eat tons of tamales and chiles rellenos as soon as i get home.

our thanksgiving meal consists of pretty much your average turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, biscuits, honey glazed ham, yadda yadda. however, we definitely throw in some candied yams, homemade tamales and mexican fruit punch to spice the meal up a bit. it's amazzzzzzing. so glad i'm going to be home for that.

collector's edition of wotlk in t-minus 9 days. OH YEAH.
p.s. i got to meet these ladies around halloween, it was awesome. <3 (except dee, i've known her/loved her for a while now. :O)

before heading out to the halloween party thingy

deeeee!

All is well here, too much WoW and too much good food. :) Weather is starting to get chill, brrrrrr. Going home Nov. 12th. :o

i'm having such an awesome time. we've been going out tons since i got here. it's great. went out to this nice little upscale restaurant called czehoski's on queen st last night to celebrate the boyfriend's birthday. atmosphere was fabulous but i didn't think the food really warranted their outrageous prices. definitely one of those once a year splurge type places, imo. still, everyone smoked weed out on the patio, had a lot of beer and wolfed down their tiny appetizers and main entrees. weed munchies ftw.

tomorrow is thanksgiving here, so i get to have two epic thanksgiving dinners this year. you guys have no idea how happy that makes me. i loooooooooove turkey day and last year i came up here in november. so i missed canadian thanksgiving and thanksgiving back home. sad panda. this year i get double, so it makes up for not getting any yummy foodz last year. plus, the big chill (this super cute ice cream place up here) closes tomorrow for the winter and so they're giving out free ice cream from 12:00-5:00 pm! i'm stoked. garrett said we'd ride the bike down into the city and get some ice cream before dinner. we're bad fat kids.

i'm reallyyyy bummed because i wanted to take lots of pictures last night since everyone looked really nice and the place was all posh. unfortunately i left my camera back home and the boyfriend doesn't believe in charging the batteries on any of his three cameras. i remembered way too late and so...no pictures. sigh. going to try and at least get some cute pictures of the bill chill tomorrow though and maybe some pictures during dinner. great part about dinner with garrett's family is yorkshire pudding! my family doesn't make that. my mom makes the usual huge turkey, stuffing, a ham, biscuits, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, etc but we usually throw in tamales and mexican fruit punch as well. no yorkshire pudding though.

canada in 5 days! i'll be there until around mid-nov. so i'll definitely be in town for halloween! ontario ladies, anything good go down for halloween? :o boyfriend's birthday is on the 15th, so i think we're going out somewhere fancy and getting plastered. hahaha, he isn't much for parties. don't blame me for the lack of originality. i'm just getting him some good presents. ;D

went shopping today and picked up some cute skirts and a few things for the dude's birthday. still have a bit more shopping to do before i leave. i keep forgetting it's going to be chilly. o.0 i sooo don't feel like cleaning up my room or packing this weekend. i can't wait to leave! i'm just soo freaking lethargiccccccc right now. i want to sleep all day. i think i may need to look into some unhealthy form of pep. starbucks maybe? is there any natural kind of energy boosters? i'm retarded when it comes to vitamins and natural stuff. i'd much rather take a vitamin than drinking a giant cup of coffee every day but i'll settle for the latter if i have to. dead serious on having zero fucking energy lately.

in nerdy news...fierra got yet another piece of t6 AND the brewfest ram mount. fuck yeahhhhhhhhh. oh and one of my guildies got a godsgirls membership. :o

I'm a little confused. Let me see if we have this all straight....

* If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're
"exotic, different."

* Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential
American story.

* If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

* Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

* Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

* Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well
grounded.

* If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become
the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter
registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12
years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State
Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become
chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee,
spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of
13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the
Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs
committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city
council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000
people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000
people, then you're qualified to become the country's second
highest ranking executive.

* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while
raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches,
you're not a real Christian.

* If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left
your disfigured wife and married heiress Cindy the next month,
you're a Christian.

* If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education,
including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the
fiber of society.

* If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with
no other option in sex education in your state's school system
while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you're very
responsible.

* If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position
in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner
city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's
values don't represent America's.

* If you're husband is
nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one
DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to
vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated
the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely
admirable.

Obama > everyone else.

Had an appointment with a school counselor today. He was super nice. :) Answered all of my noob questions regarding majors, classes, general ed classes, possible transfers, my assessment test scores, the works. I feel a lot less confused now. :D Also dropped off the last couple of forms/paperwork stuff I needed to turn in at the financial aid office. Now I have to set up another appointment with my counselor so we can work on picking out my classes for this coming semester and go to an orientation meeting, then I'm done! School in January! :o I'm nervous/excited/antsy. It's been forever since I went to school, I can't wait. :)

Not sure what I'm going to pick as a major, I have some ideas though. Need to talk to Swindle because I think she can help with one of my ideas. :o WITCH, HALP. Anyhow, I am so sleepy. My brain isn't used to working so early in the morning. :(  I'll be in Canada next month visiting the boyfriend (his birthday is Oct. 15th), I believe. Still need to book a ticket but I'll probably be there for a good solid month. So...Canada ladies, COME HAVE DRINKS! <3 I fucking miss you guys. Especially my love Dee. :) Coolest chick ever.

Nowwwww I'm going to go lurk the forums and comment on some sets.

Guess who pre-ordered a collector's edition copy of WOTLK?! Duh, me of course. I was so bummed that I didn't manage to snag a collector's edition of The Burning Crusade, wasn't going to let that happen again this year. Especially when you get this adorable little fellow for a pet with the collector's edition:

AWWW. Isn't he cute? His name is Frosty, he's a baby frost wyrm. :D You get a bunch of other neat stuff with the collector's edition as well, but to be completely honest, the pet and the coffee table book are the two main things I'm stoked on. I literally rocketed to the nearest Gamestop when I found out I could pre-order it yesterday. Unfortunately I was dumb and went to a Gamestop located INSIDE of a mall, so no midnight release for me. :( Way to go, it will be more like a 9:00 am the next day release for poor Mary. I need to start playing beta a bit more to get the hang of my paladin/priest/druid before WOTLK. So many changes to gear. :o

All is well with me, still job hunting (no luck so far though, :() and I have soo much stuff to do this month and next month. It's kind of crazy. Might be back in Canada next month for the boyfriend's birthday/Halloween! :) Video blog soon, promise. :D
