as told to me by the guy at my local corner grocery store..
three people are dead on my block because a chinese man was making chow mein and forgot to turn off the stove. So because of the carbon monoxide people died.
so my entire block is blocked off by police cars, fire trucks, the red cross and various news broadcasters.
and sorry...the way he said it was kinda funny.
but yeah, just got me some oj and popcorn and green tea.
a gentle reminder to me to be careful of the gas stove.

that's stupid; can the people not smell the gas? I freak out all the time when the stove is on but not used. although that is an embarrassign way to die, at least it was painless!
