Harriet's journals
<< back to Harriet's profile
I have been a terrible loser and haven't been keeping up with much recently - finished all my uni work and did surprisingly well, considering I put in the absolute minimum amount of effort necessary. I have been having lots of stress trying to move house, which is horribly impossible. Here are some pictures from Glencot House by Damian McGillicuddy, the other models are Anita De Bauch in the red latex, and NancyGirl.

I often worry that my sets on here aren't colourful or energetic or 'alternative' enough, but then looking at myself and all my other work I realise they are completely me. I am a posh bird, I don't think you could get any less punk! I am currently saving up to buy a tattoo kit so I can scar and mutilate my friends by scribbling amateurishly on them ahahaha! No, not really - I am going to practice on pig trotters and the like for a few months first and I spend alot of time doing technical drawings for uni so I have an eye for detail and a steady hand (and obviously I can draw and design in the first place) so hopefully should be fun :) Am going to make my feet paisley if I can manage hehe. Anyway, hope you enjoy these pictures, they were taken on the last day I was 20 grrr...21 so far isn't too thrilling. I suppose if I ever got off my arse and saved some money up I could go out drinking in America. But I have been going out drinking here since I was 15, I'm over it!
If I wasn't feeling so crap and didn't have so much work to do, this would probably be the happiest day of my life. Five pugs all together crossing the road in Notting Hill - West London is brilliant for the dog spotting alone! I saw three other splendid dogs there today hurrah! I went to Cheddar this weekend (my housemate was incredulous when I told her the cheese does actually come from there...) to shoot in this beautiful hotel with a photographer I've worked with loads before called Damian McGillicuddy. The little villagey type thing it was in is called Wookey Hole which I found insanely amusing ahahah! So when I get pictures back from that I'll post some :) Today I had to help Miriam, the aforementioned housemate, with her presentation - she studies Technical Effects at the same uni as me and unfortunately I had to wear a giant hut with chicken legs, which was odd and also quite uncomfortable. My entire body aches so much now! I'm off to bed now, there wasn't much point in writing that. Too tired to be witty today... xxx
Where are they?? I want them now! I am meant to be pattern cutting. Well technically I was meant to do that last week, and also technically it's 1.40am and I'm modelling at some catwalk shows at an 'adult' event called Passion at Earls Court all weekend, so should be in bed really...but anyway, I haven't done the pattern cutting, this is all I have achieved tonight:
I am incredibly amused by this, I have been sat here chuckling to myself all night. That is my new boyfriend under there (yes, I could be described as a serial monogamist, but I can think of worse things...) I am not sure whether I would prefer him like that though, I have a huge amount of love for pugs. Everytime I see one I just scream with joy :) xxx
Well first, here is my pygmy hedgehog, sitting in a small cereal bowl:
I can't remember if I have already posted things about him, but he is called Montgomery Chessington-Babcock, just Monty really...I have a video of him but I don't know how to make videos go on here... So now I have my lovely hoglet, my attentions have turned to other pygmy things and these pygmy marmosets are my new obsession!

Argh! I was also quite fond of these pygmy anteaters, they aren't as small though, but so lovely!
This is a Slender Loris argh!
And a bumblebee bat!
I also went to London Aquarium with my friend where I discovered the existence of Pygmy Seahorses!
He is oh so nobbly bobbly and cute, I love him :) Anyway, here is a photo of me outside the Aquarium - you should note that even though I am doing an extremely good impression of a tourist, I do actually live in London...I fucking hate tourists...
Here we are by the river, you can see Big Ben, how exciting!
I have also given up on the giving up hair dying plan...having the same colour hair for nearly a year is pretty much unbearable it turns out, so it is black with pine green bits now. Here is a picture of me with it at Koko in Camden (which is shit by the way)
I don't know what I am looking so happy about there..possibly something to do with gin and tonic.. So there we are, that was a completely unnecessary picture spree but I had fun :) xxx
I got a few pictures back from the House of Bias by Von Livid fashion show at the Torture Garden International Fetish Party on Friday. I also performed at the Saturday main event but not got any pictures back from that yet...

I seem to be the most naked person there, yet again...but it's all good, it's not like no one has seen it before! I absolutely love the dress, it fit me so well too and I was allowed to go out and play in it all night :) xxx
It's the Torture Garden Birthday Ball this weekend in London - the best fetish event of the year and GodsGirls will be there! There are three nights - the launch party on Friday, the main event on Saturday then a chillout/comedown thing on Sunday. I will be walking for House of Bias by Von Livid on the Friday night, doing some cool lolita, dolly stuff by the sounds of it, then I will be walking for HW Design, who are one of my absolute favourite latex designers in the world. Also, Adreena will be walking for Pretty Pervy again on the Saturday and Skin is going to be there too, it is going to be very fun! Will try and get some good pictures of us. If any of you UK types are going, come over and say hello :) I also got my hedgehog on Sunday, he is a grumpy, greedy little thing - just like me! We are getting on swimmingly so far, he is a bit shy but we will be good friends soon so he'll have nothing to worry about. I love him so much, he is my beautiful baby... xxx
Here is a picture of me on the front page of a London newspaper, wearing an outfit by Kaori's Latex Dream:
And here is Adreena in the tentacles dress by Pretty Pervy, as well as fellow Kaori model in the pink gown:
Very exciting. In other news, I am definitely getting my pygmy hedgehog on Sunday - his house has just arrived and I am going to furnish him in splendour! I am very, very, very excited...xxx
I had never even heard of pygmy hedgehogs until Saturday night, and now I am spending £150 on one! Everything is organised - I will be shooting a masterclass (eeeeasssy mooooneyyy) with the lovely Damian McGillicuddy in Manchester on Sunday, then meeting the hedgehog lady and getting my lovely little man :) I will have to take him home on the train, which isn't ideal poor little blighter, but I don't have a car, and I promise to make it up to him later... Also, did London Alternative Fashion Week yesterday - walking for Kaori's Latex Dream. Fellow UK GodsGirl Adreena was there too, walking for Pretty Pervy, which is bloody fantastic, I didn't recognise her when she was inside the costume! Here is a picture of me walking:
And here is a picture of me with Mooi Devine and Olivia:
So there we are. Much fun was had by all - though I later discovered the perils of not eating and then glugging pints of 7.4% perry eep...I had to get off the tube in the middle of my journey to sit on the floor outside the station because I couldn't deal with it hehe... So yeah, I need to go to bed now, I have a picture of my hoglet with his brother, but can't be arsed to photobucket it and all that now, so another day..I'll have him soon anyway so I can post all the pictures I like! xxx
A friend told me last night about these little hedgehogs you can get, and I want one ssooooo much. I have been emailing breeders all day, and I might be able to get one within the next month eee...they are quite expensive and hard to get hold of, but when I get a bee in my bonnet about something I don't stop til I get it!
We have been looking at houses for him, we want to get him a lovely big house because he must be a happy hedgie :) We have also been thinking of names, and we are quite fond of Dr Dinsdale at the moment hhehe just thought it was funny. Or maybe a priest's name....I am insanely excited heheh
I went for an interview yesterday for a work placement at a shoe makers in North East London, and I'm starting in June :) I have a year out from uni to work in industry, then I go back for the last year all refreshed and full of skills. After I graduate I will complete a traditional apprenticeship, and off I go! Everyday I can feel myself inching closer to my shoemaking dreams! The downside is, I still have to do the current project, which is insanely boring. I have design shoes for MCM - which are a luxury bag brand that used to be cool in the 80s, but isn't now. They don't seem to know what they want really. Apparently they are getting big again in Korea and New York, but I wouldn't know about that, being stuck here in the cold! So yeah, apart from that, everything is going swimmingly. Here is a picture of me in incredible pain.
I just won some Vivienne Westwood shoes on eBay too, all is well :) xxx
