so at the beginning of the week there were 3 potential threats of hurricanes. i guess now theres only one thats expected to affect us by monday. i believe he's called Ike. which is kinda scary cuz the first person i think of is Ike Turner. i dont wanna get bitch slapped by a hurricane. but theres also Ike, Kyle's little brother from South Park. he's from Canadia, and im sure they're all cool peoples. no prob.
 i kept joking how all 3 hurricanes should've landed at the same time and formed one fuckin giant Voltron Hurricane. It would take physical form, walk onto the beach and start kicking shit over. tasteless joke. my supervisor person told me the physics of the hurricane would make it impossible because of blah blah blah. i didnt need you to get all sciency on me. i'd rather have no hurricane at all.
except hurricane beer. i've never tried one but i heard it tastes like shit. im just saying if i had to choose i'll take crappy beer over natural disaster.
 do you/ have you indulged in terrible beer?
 i still do but only when the mood is right.

when it rains it pours.
we were scheduled to set up a vendor stand at a bboy jam (breakdancing) on saturday. we knew about that for about a month so no problemo. but like a true procrastinator, i wait till days before to start painting extra gear to sell. hectic.
 one of my friends is directing a concert for a spanish funk-fusion-reggae band. Locos Por Juana . i know it sounds confusing but they really are worth checking out. Latin Grammy nominated for best album by group in 2005. cool peoples and always put on an awesome show.
 so, last monday-tuesday my friend calls me up saying he wants to try to get me n my brother to paint on stage or something. finally decided to paint a shirt for the lead singer. the concert is on friday. and im scheduled to work. blah.
 that same day i received an email saying we could set up at another bboy event in orlando. which is kinda big because of the $2000 cash prize for the winners. it was the same day as the other one though, but at night. so i'd have to drive up to orlando after i left the first one. i almost went but realized it'd cost too much and probly wouldn't break even.

 i ended up calling in sick to work cuz well, its not everyday i have an opportunity to be at a concert and have grammy nominated artists support our artwork. dope concert. and as an added bonus one of the hottest girls i've seen in my life was there. i think she's some kind of reporter aaaaand she's colombian. ohhh lawwwwd.

 the next day was the bboy jam. i was selling a shirt to the dj and i told him it cost $15. the music was really loud and he thought i said $50. i didnt look at the bill he gave me thinking it was a 20 and was gonna give him change but he just took off. when i realized it was a $50 bill i was like oh shit ! christmas.
dope. but nah, thats fucked up. he was spinning dope ass music and i couldnt do him dirty like that. i knew it was wrong. i caught up with him and told him he gave me too much $.  he's like yo, i respect that and gave me $5 more than the actual cost.
