Sorry that it's been a while my lovelies, I've been working on 2 new parties (one is this weekend). It's been going good though, our theme for this weekend's party is "Dress for Sexcess." It should be a fabulous night of debauchery! For Halloween my crew is teaming up with a couple of other crews that are a lot of fun. One of the crews invited us over for a little get together. We were already aware that one of the members of this crew that invited us over is a teppanyaki chef. But we were still shocked to see the food that he had prepared for us.
This amazing chef made us sushi. But not just any kind of sushi, the best sushi that I ever had! I guess that he spent over $300 on just the fish alone! He took over 4 hours making rolls, salads, and tempura, companied by warm sake. The tempura consisted of whole soft shell crabs, shrimp & asparagus. I'm not sure what was in all of the roles, but they were divine. The arrangement for the roles came on plates with full flower arrangements. One of the sauces that were added to the roles took our friend 6 hours to make, prior! Yum yum yum! The salads had filet of raw tuna; with a beautiful dressing that he had made himself. Once again it was the best sushi meal that I have ever had. It worked out pretty good, because lately I have developed an expensive sushi habit...
Prior to the meal being served I asked if there was anything I could do to help (not that there was a lot that I could really do). I was told that I could help slice up the cucumber, but to make them as thin as paper. I figure that I've watched "Hell's Kitchen" & that I could manage...right? Well, I did do okay with my task, it took me a while, but I completed it. I really didn't want to speed up that process because that knife was supper sharp, & I figured that the extra ingredients of my blood n' finger wouldn't be as tasty. I will say one thing; I definitely needed a cigarette & a drink after that operation ;)
Well, I'm off to make a list of additional things needed for our party. It should be good, we're bringing DJ Recess from Seattle, & I'm really excited to see him perform. I'll let everyone know how it goes after this weekend. Until then, cheers!
