 Hey guys, so did everyone see that my first pro set went live the other day? Im really happy with how it turned out, and it’s the naughtiest of the day aswell so I hope you all love it. Seeing it go live really made me very very happy as did all the lovely sexy comments some of you have left so thank you!
Since my last journal ive had a busy few weeks it seems but really ive just managed to scramble together something like a social life.
A friend of mine who shall remain nameless (cos his girlfriends a bit of a psycho) asked me to check out a band a few weeks ago called It Prevails and he sent me their myspace and I had a listen and enjoyed it, noticed they were on tour in the UK the following week and it even said they were from Denver so I knew I had to give em a chance. Anyone who knows me knows I have a little soft spot for all things Denver so I sent them a message saying hey and offering them a place to crash on the night they played Manchester as I knew they were heading to Leeds the day after and I live between the two. Handy no? Well as they were on tour already they didn’t get chance to read my message but fate intervened and it turned out that lovely member justluke222’s band were supporting them on the Leeds date so I tagged along.
We got to talking and it turns out they are from Portland mostly not Denver and they all know about GG, its so nice to meet someone in the UK that knows what Godsgirls is (why Im so keen to spread the word) and they asked for some pics which of course I obliged and we got to talking and they were all such lovely guys so I mentioned that I had offered them a place to stay the previous night and I think they misinterpreted me and were like “oh that would be so awesome” so I figure hey they know Meg and Evelyn so if anything bad happens atleast I can track em down and kick their asses lol so I said that yeah it was ok for them to crash at mine that night. Coupla hours later they come back and are like “oh there is 11 of us that’s cool right?” *cue panic* lol so when the gig was over, theres me and 11 guys crammed in a van (2 bands and a tour manager) heading back to my place where they queue up for showers and take over every available bed, sofa and floor space I have, but it was nice to have something going on at my house. A few people can vouch for the fact that it’s a bit too big for one person to potter around in all the time. The next morning they all disappear up to Metal Fest in Newcastle I believe and I thought Id never see em again. Only a few days after that one of their gigs was cancelled and they asked if they could come to mine again, of course I said yes so I cooked up a storm and when they arrived we went to the supermarket. The next big thing on my calendar was of course Leeds Festival and the opportunity to hang out with the *stunning* Rakkell some more. I have to admit I am just in awe of how awesome she is. If you have met her, you will love her its that simple. I cant sing her praises highly enough. Did I mention she is like totally mega BR00T4L? lol

She descended on my lil town on Wednesday evening where we got Dominoes (oh yes) cos its buy one get one free if you collect it from the store. We couldn’t wait till we got home and tucked in to a few slices waiting for the bus *nom* We got up super early the following morning and made our way to Bramham Park which is between Leeds and Manchester and found a cute lil spot for out tent, set up and chilled out for a while. Our camping spot was perfect cos it was right near a little water outlet (so we could brush our teeth), near the toilets (cos Rakkell needs to pee like ALL the time), near a security tower (so we had light and safetyyy) and it was sheltered against some wall thing (so we only had to defend our little fort from 2 sides lol) so we were pretty chuffed with ourselves. Here’s a lil pic of our humble abode. The same pop up red tent as the last festival we went to and that little blue tent was an extra that we brought along to keep our clothes and food in cos we don’t travel light :)

Thursday night nothing normally happens at Leeds Fest but they decided this year to put on a movie night in one of the tents and I saw a Dark Knight poster and got very excited. However apparently in order to watch that you have to want to stay up all night and we were tired so we went to see what was going on a little earlier and we found out there was a 3D movie about to start. I got hella excited cos Ive never seen a 3d film before. All excitement washed away when the film turned out to be… *drum roll* Night of the Living Dead 3D. It was utter gash lol so we decided to take pics instead.

As we are secretly old grannies we then decided to go to bed and what should we wake up to the following morning but a huge queue of people outside out tent!

Maybe they had heard that some uber babes had descended on Leeds fest and they wanted to see us in our sexy pyjamas. Or maybe they just wanted a glimpse of these ghetto biatches trying to tame their unruly fringes lol

(They definitely weren’t queuing to use our water tap). I took my business cards with me and was armed with Sharpies so basically GG was promoted all over the site :)

On the Friday we go to see The Computers, Polar Bear Club, A Wilhelm Scream, Municipal Waste. Prodigy, Thursday and Rise Against AND we got to meet the beautiful GG Natashca. She is lovely and her accent is the cutest. We didn’t get to hang out much but it was nice just to sit and chat for a little while.

On the Saturday we got to see Master Shorty and 3oh!3. Now Im not even ashamed to admit I had an absolute blast during 3oh!3. We couldn’t stop laughing at first cos they look pretty damn hilarious doing their thing but the beat was immense so we were dancing lots. Then we headed to another tent to watch Lethal Bizzle, then The Living End just for godsgirls.com/members/chrisxacosta then we headed back to our tents for an afternoon nap. We really are middle aged. We slept through Brand New which wasn’t that bad cos they only played new stuff and in my opinion the new album is crap. We headed back to the dance tent for Lady Sovereign (oh yes) but she was late coming on so we just enjoyed the end of the DJ set beforehand. There was a hilarious pilled up guy dancing like a right wally so Rakkell decided to show him up with her awesome dance moves. I was so busy laughing it took me forever to get my camera out but switched it on to catch the most hilarious thing ever.

Every where inside the dance tent there were little cans of poppers on the floor and when I came home I found this pic my friend had taken and I have to confess I lol’d.

When the SOV wasn’t as chavtastic as we wanted her to be we left and watched some Gaslight Anthem whilst waiting for Gallows to come on. Now I wasn’t too impressed with their performance I have to admit, definitely nowhere near as good as the Warped Tour date I posted about a few journals ago. HOWEVER… Tassy’s ex bf Jamie Im-an-utter-cuntface Farrell aka the guy that spreads rumours about me came on stage to do the shouty bit at the end of Ochestra of Wolves (as he always does apparently) and that sonofabitch got FAT. And I mean Orca fat lol it was hilarious. Now for some unknown reason he decided to come on stage in just his boxers, so when Frank Carter exposed his pathetic penis to the world it was almost like a sign from God that he is a pathetic excuse for a human being. The funniest part was.. he looked that fat and hideous that Rakkell and I didn’t even realise it was him and his friend told us the following morning. Still in shock lol. This ones for you Tassy *hug*

So cos we are beautiful srs modelzzz we decided as I live close to Leeds that we would pack up and go home, get a good nights sleep, hot showers and prepared for the awesome Sunday line up so we headed back. Got to Leeds train station and sat on the platform waiting for our train to turn up

and this group of Rugby fans started walking towards us. Now in my experience football has hooligans, rugby fans tend to be nicer and less aggressive/violent so when one of them starts running towards us i figure he is going to jump and try and hit the clock thats suspended from the roof between us. Nope. Ok maybe hes going to run and stop right infront of us. Nope. Ok maybe hes going to jump between Rakkell and I. Nope. He throws himself RIGHT on top of us. I mean literally ON TOP of both of us. This guy was huge. Hes the one ive put the arrow on.

Now anyone that has seen me in that situation knows Im a serious angry bitch and whilst this guy didnt hurt us I was just like WTF so i shoved him off me, grabbed him by his ankle and was so close to dragging him on to the train tracks. If i could have pushed him onto them I would but cos I was dragging him and he was trying to kick me off it was kinda hard. He ended up walking away with his friends and then he came back and said sorry and said that he had been dared to do it and that cos I had managed to drag him along the platform by his legs Id made him look like a dick infront of his friends. Then the guy that had bet him to do it came over to say sorry aswell. Rakkell and I ended up standing with them on the train cos they were all pretty hilarious. The young guy in flipflops so drunk that he kept dancing on the train to a beat in his head was the funniest, him and his friend that was thoroughly enjoying my "funbags" <- his word not mine lol

Then Sunday morning we got up bright and early again and made ourselves beautiful and descended on Leeds again. This time armed with cups of tea and cans of energy drinks and none alcoholic cider. Now heres the thing... they dont want you taking cans into the arena so as I refuse to pay nearly $5/£3 for a can of Relentless/Monster/Rockstar we smuggled some in down the sleeves of our shirts/jackets. Hence why Rakkell looks hella buff

We almost got busted too haha We are smuggle queens. So band wise we watched The Plight, Ghost Of A Thousand, Alexisonfire, New Found Glory, Streetlight Manifesto, The Aggrolites, Leftover Crack, Bouncing Souls, Alexisonfire (again) and Anti-Flag. Now Alexis the second time were absolutely amazing, Rakkell and I had the BEST views in the house. We were about 3 people back sat on top of the barrier so cos Im a shortarse I could see over heads and it was wickedddd

Before they came on they unleashed loads of inflatables into the crowd to keep people entertained and because we were on the barrier we kept catching them and attacking them with Sharpies :)
