Let Inspiration Flow .. 07/19/08 07:34 am pst
Listening to: BBC Radio 4 - a debate about tax rates

Hello Sweet Things,

I've been so charged with creative energy lately that I decided to indulge myself, and I purchased a new digital SLR camera. I've spent entirely too much money for my bank balance to look even remotely healthy, but already I feel that the new addition is more than rewarding enough.

Once again Savage and I are looking at moving our UK residence, we have our current UK property up for sale, but with the appalling state of the housing market at the moment we aren't really expecting to be able to shift it any time soon.
On the plus side of the housing price slump, we are able to afford far nicer properties in our desired locations. The fact that when our house sells we'll get less than its worth, does admittedly negate some of the benefit, but we still come out better off.
We've found stunning properties in Lichfield, Leamington Spa, Sutton Coldfield, and Warwick. Lichfield and Warwick are our preferred choices, with a lot of greenery, Cathedrals, Castle, and historical buildings they're absolutely beautiful places.

I'm planning to set up a home photography studio, well in honesty with the size of properties that we're looking into, it'll be more like a professional photography studio that we just happen to live above. Savage is also still working on having his music studio built in too, but we're not sure whether to run it from a different site or not as of yet.

Life as a Mommy is very hectic but I'm enjoying it remarkably. A lot more than I expected I would.
October is growing so quickly, sometimes I feel as though I blink and she's grown. She is due to model the Autumn range of baby clothing for an organic company, Perfect Start, and the shoot should be taking place next month.

Today is Savage's Birthday, and I've booked a hotel in the Peak District until Wednesday. We're going to hit the road in the next half an hour or so, it's been a while since we've taken a trip away together without some sort of chaos or work related commitment, so I'm mighty excited for the break.
The Peak District is so picturesque, even when the weather isn't all sunshine and blue skies, I find it to be a truly brilliant place for inspiration. I expect that I'll return home with an over worked camera, pages of manuscripts, and a stimulated mind bursting with ideas and over-flowing with creativity.

I hope to get a chance to shoot some DIY sets whilst we're there.

Indeed she has :) She is quite the natural little poser.
Thank you Sweetness, it's an older shot.. taken not long after I found out I was pregnant, but it's from a collection of images that I quite like. I've removed my facial piercings now.
Really looking forward to meeting you, Lovely! It's going to be much fun!

like mother like daughter. hah
yea.. overnights are fun at times and incredibly gruelling sometimes. i've done it for a total of like,.. 3 years maybe? but i think off and on. its hard when school is in session. really kinda kills the social life sometimes.
life is as fun as i make it though.  if i'm not enjoying myself got no one to blame but myself, ya know?
house shopping is tediously exciting. hah.

Haha perhaps.. we shall see what she wants to do as she gets older. It looks as though she may be blessed with her Fathers height, that being the case - and if she wishes - she would have the potential to go down the glossy fashion route, whereas I'm a short ass heh.

Indeed, life really is what you make it. Sometimes I think we all need reminding of that.

Oh whoa! That's so exciting...that everything in your life is going so splendidly (even when the housing market being craptastic). And though, I am not a mother myself...I have adorable newphews and a beautiful niece; they are the most beautiful things on this earth. I don't know what being a mother, makes one feel like...but what I feel is only the tip of the iceburg, and I honestly can't wait to have children of my own (with Heather, of course).

Tehe.

Yeah it's a pretty exciting time of change for me at the moment.. I just hope that the goodness continues, we're too used to bad luck!

Aww that's incredibly sweet :) Children are amazing. I'm not, and have never been, the maternal type. However I wouldn't change a thing now, and I adore October more than anything. It's such a honour to be able to watch a baby grow, and experience the intense bond that one forms with their child.
I hope that all is well with you and Heather, love. :)

Hello Stranger!
Indeed we need to chat and catch up more often. Thank you :) October is a precious little lady!
As for more sets.. soon, real soon. I'm just working out some interesting yet affordable DIY themes at the moment, cash has become tighter with trying to move house and having the little one!

Wow, you are so incredible. Good luck with finding a new place! I hope your new camera is doing fantastic! Are you taking a lot of wonderful pictures please do share?
How was your little trip?
I really need one of those.. I have to pay my rent and a couple bills and then I should really look into going away with Max or a friend just for like a bed and breakfast or up to the north shore to hike in the beautiful woods.

Thank you Sweetheart <3
Indeed I am having much fun with my new camera.. but unfortunately haven't been able to spend a great deal of time taking photos yet. October is quite a demanding little girl!
Our break in the Peak District was great, I keep meaning to blog about it .. and I shall get around to that later. Determination, I has it!
Aww yeah, it's nice to take a trip away every now and again. You're quite lucky living in the States, you have so much choice of places to go. Keep me posted, if you do manage to break away - take lots of pics :)
