ok I'm a former Marine and I agree that there are things that happen that shouldn't for any reason, but nobody ever wants to talk about what is happening to our men and women over there, it's always oh the poor Iraqi's. i would like to see someone stand up for our people and defend them, all you here about are the horror stories and not the stories of the good deeds being done by those Marines and other service personel. So don't judge all Marines or other military personel by the actions of a few. Myself personally have had people come up to me and call me a baby killer and in one instance a coward actually spit on my back while I was in my uniform after a ceremony and he ran away like a little bitch right after. People like that among everyone else in this country are the ones that we protect without question or regret but they don't have the guts to stand up and talk to us like a man or woman if they don't agree with what we do, they rather yell at us or spit and run. Once again I don't agree with the horrors that have and that are going on over seas but I'll be damned if I'll sit back and have someone demean or spit on me or anyother member of our armed forces. I hope that I made myself clear in this and not sounding like an ass to anyone and if you have questions or complaints please feel free to ask or express them, but remember one thing, there have been battles and wars for centuries and not all for good but in the end they are what has given each and everyone in this country the right to do as they please and most who have died for us are only betwen 18 to 24 yrs old, so they gave their lives so early so that we could all live to be old and happy.

you hear about the good deeds all the time? At least in Canada you do, and the crying when someone dies, which is understandable. These are people who start off with good intentions mostley.
And yes there has been war for thousands of years, but we also use to live in shacks, shit on the street and lack electricity and weapons. The fact that there has been war for thousands of years is not an excuse. Personally I think it's outdated, but I know its not gonna stop soon.
As for the spit, ya, thats mean and disrispectful but I'd rather be spit on while riding my bike anyday of the week then shot. People do shit out of anger, spitting is a much better option then shooting.
