yup, pretty much!
i'm copypasta-ing this next part because it's so long and kinda complicated - sorry about that!!!
it's an update on my stolen purse shizz...
oh hey there, how's it going?
BOY do i have a lot to talk about!!!
yes, that is a cigarette. i was bad this week. :(
please note i am holding one of Igor's new tote bags...he has t-shirts that he's giving out all this week too, if you're so inclined.
moving on to the good stuff...
last nite i did a one-off gig gogo dancing for the Rock and Roll High party at The Skinny.
apparently it was SLOW everywhere and hardly anyone showed up.
the other gogos and i really didn't make any money, but since i didn't have anything else lined up it wasn't a total loss either.
halfway through the nite a group of kids walk through the door and - guess who's with them??
the dude that drove the car carrying the kids who stole my purse back in October!!!
the police have been trying to get a hold of him FOREVER, with NO LUCK...
plus, he ADMITTED to Nikki Cook that they took our bags (his exact words were "i didn't know it was YOUR bag!").
it takes me a few minutes to definitely figure out that it's him - i go and ask the other gogos if they know him/what his name is - and yup, turns out it's the same guy.
i immediately go find the bouncer and the owner, tell the the entire story and the situation, and that i'm not comfortable with the kid there and that i want him thrown out.
the meanwhile, once back inside, the kid comes up to me and tries to explain the situation (he's seen me talking with the owners at this point).
i believe i said something along the lines of:
"FUCK YOU, YOU STOLE OUR SHIT, I WAS OUT $1200 BECAUSE OF YOU, YOU FUCKED UP MY LIFE. YOU'RE GETTING YOUR GODDAMN ASS HANDED TO YOU!!"
cue the bouncer coming in and hauling the guy outside.
MEANWHILE, because i had told the owner and the bouncer of the police involvement, they go ahead and call the cops.
the cops hold him, take me to their van and ask a bunch of questions.
they try calling the detectives but can't get a hold of anyone at the precinct.
i happen to mention that while talking to one of the other gogo dancers, it turns out HER purse had been stolen from a venue where THIS KID HAD ALSO BEEN.
i tell the cops to talk to her and then once back inside, tell her and her boyfriend to go catch the police before they leave.
fast forward 15 minutes and the other girl and her boyfriend come back in...
apparently our little purse snatching friend was hauled off in handcuffs - he was on probation, had drugs on him, and the police thought it was just too much of a coincidence that he was at the same place at the same time as two thefts.
I'M. FUCKING. AWESOME.
so let this just be a lessons to everyone out there -
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FUCK WITH ME.

anyway...i'm probably going to be here tonite:
i make a damn good flier, if i do say so myself.
i have to give Jeremy his scarf back.
