I don't really believe in New Year's resolutions?? But this year I'm dedicated to making a few changes that I think are really going to help me achieve the goals I've set for myself.
1. Make more art.
Yes, I work as a tattoo artist and draw every day, but I want to create more for my own personal enjoyment of the craft. I'm dedicated to draw things I want to draw, not just what the client asks for.
2. Read. Period.
No kidding, I used to read a book a week when I was in high school and university. Now most of my day is spent on my phone. I need to drift away from turning to the internet and to other tech to distract me from widening my intellectual horizons.
3. Eat better.
I have struggled with shitty eating habits this year that I really need to get under control. I can't eat before I perform, usually, do to the chronic illness I suffer from. My diet and my body are in constant war. It used to be easier for me to just not eat than to carefully weigh out what does hurt me and what doesn't. I need to actually tackle this demon that's rearing its head more and more often in my life.
4. Make more sets.
This is a no-brainer! I have some ambitious shoot ideas for next year that don't just involve rolling around naked in my bed - not that there is anything wrong with that!
5. Punch through the international cieling and perform out of the country this year in burlesque!
I intend to perform internationally this year in some capacity. I'm hoping it will be burlesque that will get me there!
