Listening to: Mew

Yesterday was a quintessential English summer day. In the morning I went to look for a Million Dead album but couldn't find one so ended up getting Mew instead. Million Dead- Mew.. you can see how that ended up happening.
It was freakishly hot and bright, really amazing weather. Last year we didnt have a summer, only rain and grey, so I've been waiting over a year for this. Cambridge is a beautiful place to be in the sun so as soon as any is out everyone flocks en mass to the parks to spread out and play.
I got a bag of sweets and a frozen coffee (EAT do the best ones ever) and then bought a frisbee and we played in the park and lay in the grass. Then we went for a walk and stumbled across a fair where a pikey stole my frisbee. But it was brightly coloured and fun anyway.
On the way home, like everyone else in the country, we decided to get a BBQ. It was the BEST BBQ EVER. We bought tune steaks, salmon steaks and tofu. Our BBQ consisted of tuna marinaded in chili and lime, salmon marindaded in salt, pepper and lemon and tofu/pepper kebabs. I also made a potato salad and roasted herb potato slices. Ben brought Benny's Beans, which were some kinda chili bean thing. It was epic.
The day ended with a trip to the pub for a few hours of lazing about. It was a good day :)

I had my show at the Torture Garden the other day, I should probably talk about that. Ah well... next time! x x
