...it's guaranteed not to fail. Money is no object. It can be entirely impractical. What kind of business do you run? You're not guaranteed excessive amounts of money by running this business but you'll at least make enough that you can live modestly and can afford employees and other business expenses.

I have two businesses in mind. If I'm feeling lawful good that day, it'll be a combination bar and entertainment venue. Keep all the booze outside and have the bar itself outdoors, but inside have a stage so local groups can put on plays, bands can play, indie movies can be shown, etc. Every night will be something different.

If I'm feeling chaotic evil? Strip club. Absolutely. Not because I want to own a strip club necessarily, but because it will piss off the city to no end. From there I will use my infamy to run for local office under a platform promoting deviancy and degeneracy. I live in a town with a lot of older people so I'm sure you can imagine just how upset people would be. For years the city has fined me for ridiculous things like parking my car facing the wrong way, parking next to the driveway but not in a paved part of the yard, putting my trash out at the street with the trash can's handle facing the wrong way, etc. And I'm just petty enough to install a strip club as revenge.

Your city sounds pretty shitty. You have my vote for office happy

My choice would either be

Comic/coffee shop. Want to read a graphic novel? £1 to rent it out while having your coffee

or

A Bookshop that just sells erotica. No more searching about for the small section in your local book store. Also, would give me a place to sell my stuff happy

Mine would be what I'm doing now - making arty porn films with my friends. I fucking love doing it but I was saying yesterday, omg, imagine what I could get done with a business loan and an assistant. I'd be a powerhouse.

As it is, hard to run a project alone when ur a poor student who's mentally ill hahaha

this is such a hard question for me because i have a new business i want to make every day but i just dont have the start up to do any of them,

but, i would start a company to improve the accessibility of diy music. whether that be building ramps for venues or helping improve fire safety, getting grants so that shows could be cheaper, helping build and fund a pay what you can community run recording studio, doing drug safety training and making sure naloxone kits are available at all shows with people who are trained to use them, helping run all ages stuff, but yeah, i do a lot of work in accessibility so i would be stoked to put my knowledge to use.

otherwise, i really want to be a part of an artist collective, like a little business run out of a house or something thats like part hair salon part coffee shop part tattoo parlor, theres a lot of stuff like that where i live, i wanna get in on it.

If only there was a way to freelance write but in a way where someone pays my wages and gives me insurance without having to hunt them down and is fine with me writing about the history of the marshmallow peep or ironic novels about half-vampire half-angel demon hunters

I'd buy the old cinema that's up the road from me and have a cinema showing whatever I wanted (let's face it, mostly revival showings/incomprehensible arthouse/experimental/new filmmakers/porn, that's also a gig venue/gallery space and somehow also a secondhand bookstore.

And on my days off I'd make my own films.

Slightly more realistically, I'd just make money from my art and films and writing.

Indoor art space for graffiti artists where they can come practice their craft legally. A place that's warm in the winter (because we have like 8 months of it), and cool in the summer. My city keeps taking away legal walls, and has a hate on for graffiti which they just refer to as vandalism. Graffiti is art. Vandalism is swaztika's, curse words, and drawings of dicks. I figure if you want to keep kids from tagging your buildings, give them a place they're allowed to do it. Send 'em to me!

I'm with @Blath in that I'd do what I do now but differently? I'm a cannabis cultivator, but I tingle to think what I could accomplish if actual cultivators and patients had written the legislation instead of politicians and people at the federal level who are actively against it.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
