So as I'm sure many of you will agree days are often bleak in the UK. Whether it's the weather, the politics or the people.

I wanted to make a thread where we can all share the things we love about living in the UK.

For me one thing is the food. I LOVE good country food, Greggs, fish and chips, Sunday dinners and (being Northern) a proper good pie.

My favourite one-liner about the UK:

"Britain: if you like the weather you'll love the food."

I actually like grey skies, something very inspiring about them.
I love the music scene, how easy it is to go to gigs, how often bands actually play here and how decently priced the tickets are!

Pub culture. Pimms pitchers on a summers day.

while I don't live there anymore, there are lots of things I miss that I loved about England, my top things:

-Trainss, after living in Australia I really miss how easy it was to get around and go pretty much anywhere in the UK
-Jaffa cakes
-Sausage rolls from Greggs (I don't really eat meat but those sausage rolls haunt my dreams)
-Brighton - love of my life
-I actually loved the weather
-old school grimy pubs
-going clubbing and seeing all these girls with loud mouths in miniskirts at -10 degrees
-Uk godsgirls *_* even if I haven't met you all

Just had the first pitcher of the year on Sunday and it was perfection, Pimms makes any day better.

I also am particularly partial to ththe accents, although they get more and more muddled the longer I'm here.

Also free entrance to permanent collections of museums. I can never afford the special exhibitions and I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't see some art for free
