What the hell was the Silva - Griffin fight all about? Silva coasted it. Griffin went down far too easy for a pro and I've never seen anyone exit the arena so quickly in my life?!?!

i'm not sure either way which it was - whether silva fought well or that griffin just didnt put up a fight? maybe it was supposed to be staged? not sure!!

Something wasn't right, and by that I don't necessarily mean that it was foul play. Griffin might very well have been extremely nervous, and to be honest I don't blame him after that huge hit in the beginning and not to mention how Silva demoralized him by acting superior and taunting him through out the entire fight. This theory would somewhat explain the quick exit.

But yes... I was disappointed by Forrest's performance in that fight -- and by the looks of it, Silva was as well -- especially since there had been so much hype built up around it, and of course because I was expecting him to get at least bloody before giving up.

The hype:

I knew it was gonna be bad when Joe Rogan made a comment about Griffins 1,2, then Headkick seconds before he did it.

You could tell that Silva was prepared for Griffins fight style...And it didnt help that Griffin brought his usual style into the cage. As soon as Forrest knew that he (and his style) was that well prepared for...he gave it up.

Once the best fighter pound for pound has you completely figured out....your kinda fucked. Silva Was ready for the 1,2,Headkick , Ready & grabbed forrest legkick & was MORE than ready for his striking...used only head movement to avoid and then countered with a perfect right after Forrest came foward with his usual 1,2,1.

Lets not forget, Forrest usually walks around at 235-240 lbs. Unfortunately Griffin just can't compete with Silva's strong ass Muay Thai technique. Griffin pretty much telegraphed every single punch. When your fighting a guy like Silva you can't throw wide punches like Griffin does. Anderson is just waaaay to quick.

Not to mention Griffin is a extremely passionate/emotional guy when it comes to fighting. After Griffin got knocked down the first time and he got back up and tried to shake off the punch and tried to get his vision back, you could see it in his face that he was extremely discouraged. That was his biggest mistake right there. After that Anderson knew he was hurt and had the right rapped up. So Silva put on the show that the fans wanted to see. Especially after Silva's last fight that every one complained about.

Exactly. I was sure that I had pointed to this in my post, but... guess I forgot to.

It was confirmed later than one of the early punches Silva threw broke Griffin's jaw, hence his hasty exit from the ring after the fight ended.

I hate Tito...But I have to give it him, the guy has skills.
Its gonna be a good fight. Both of them have something to prove. Tito showing that he's still got it & Forrest is gonna want to revenge his decision loss (that many think he should have won) to Tito.
