I need some help.
Users of cellphones, hear my cry.
I don't know what I'm doing. I need a new phone, but there's too many to choose from. I use At&t, so it limits my choices a little, but after that I'm lost.
Right now, I use a razor, if only for the sole purpose that it folds out to be almost the size of a real phone. I hate feeling like Zoolander, with just a itty bitty thing in my hand. I hate that it doesn't have a keyboard, which would make my life easier. I'm also a hairdresser, so ideally, I'd like some sort of blackberry type features.
Here's some of the ones I was thinking about....

If you have any of these or have friends who do, let me know what you think!! My old phone isn't holding a charge, so I need a new lifeline with a quickness!

Hi Sadie, just a note that those links don't work, they were generated while you were logged into your AT&T account and only work for you, but I can see which ones you are looking at.
If you like to not have to constantly charge your phone I would recommend not getting the iPhone, thier batery lifetime is absolutely horrendous. And I know several people who lament getting the iPhone, and hate the onerous plan you are required to get in order to use it. Also some people hate the psuedo-keyboard functionality.
I know alot more people that love thier blackberries, if you are a texting fool the curve and bold are better, and if your are a mobile internet junkie the bold is better, but just like the iPhone, the faster access speed means decreased battery life.
Which one is right for you is best determined by going down to your local AT&T outlet and getting a feel for each one while asking the representive as many questions as you can think of (thats what they are there for). While you're there you can also check out the iPhone, but if practicality is more important to you than being the cool kid on the block, you'll probably like a blackberry more.
Before you go down there I would read the customer reviews of the phones you are interested in and pay particular attention to the negative reviews, they are usually a lot more telling of the phone's drawbacks that the glowing reviews. I find it both interesting and troublesome that they do not permit people to leave reviews of the iPhone, what exactly are they trying to hide?
As for the other phones, I would stay away from Pantech, they are a new company and use windows on thier phones, that doesn't mean it's a bad phone but it's better to wait until they get a track record. Palm from what I've heard is so-so, people who have owned Palm PDAs like them, but people who haven't have a lukewarm response to them. |

I've had my Duo for a couple of months now. Fully satisfied with it. Phones are all about personal preference though... |

Iphones are good for Apps and the development that people are putting on them but I agree with Z that the hardware is still a crutch and in a year or two it will be way more worth the dollar than the workhorse that Blackberries offer. The amount of cool apps and media functionality seems to be neck an neck for BB vs. IPhone so I am prone to Iphone recommendation. That being said I have a friend who is using one of the new LG phones that support Android and for those techy people out there these phones are awesome due to all the customization and open source platform capabilities. We are currently developing some test games for them in our off time. Also they are not bound by contract to any particular carrier from what I know of them. I too am interested in other recommendations though.
I currently always need to 2 cellphones which is ghey but necessary for my dayjob vs. contract work lifestyle. For some reason my boss doesnt think that the VPs of NBC whould be getting an outgoing message on my phone asking for them to leave a message for Big Dirty and Big Dirty Sound productions. ?!?!?
Anyways, I use a BB for my dayjob which is more IT techy because I can use telnet and SSH consoles as well as play Zelda biatch! However I need to replace my uber-nokia which I absolutely love because of the easy use and reliability, but its time I get a phone with really good camera, high memory, and streaming vid and mp3 capabilities. I need the heaviest duty media phone.
Recommendations? |

I have a BB Bold. I love it!
I have an iPod Touch and I am not happy with the keyboard function.
Play around with a Pod, if you like it get the iPhone.
As I said, I prefer my BB.
Happy shopping

I'm rocking this (but without the poncy touchflow software, it's just standard windows mobile).. it's a bit thick, but when you can turn it sideways and just bust that keyboard out.. wha-POW! I need it for emails pretty regular, so it's a godsend.
