I've been at 12g for way too long and I've tried stretching to 10g on several different occasions with no luck. I think I'm going to have to see my piercer soon because 12g is seriously annoying. |

I'm using a steel taper and a circular barbell, and the barbell just REFUSES to slide through, no matter how accurately I line it up with the taper. I've even tried rubbing a bit of almond oil on it and still nothing! It's the most ridiculous thing, I fucking swear. |

You should try using a pincher.
It's what I've always used and they work wonderfully since you can leave them in and don't have to worry about trying to get other jewelry in.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, they look like this:
I get them from Hot Topic cause you can get two pinchers and two plugs for like 12 or so dollars, and I like having the plugs incase I need to hide my septum, but the best bet for you would be probably ordering one off the internet or go to a place where you can get just one.
What's great about them too is that they're already tapered at the ends! |

You should try using a pincher.
It's what I've always used and they work wonderfully since you can leave them in and don't have to worry about trying to get other jewelry in.

This may be worth a shot, River. I first started out by with an organic bone taper one or two sizes up. Its small and hardly noticable. |

(From left to right) I have an organic bone 12g, 14g steel that stays in place without o-rings, 10g steel, 9g darker steel, 8g steel pincher, 6g clear neon yellow, 6g tigers eye, 4g steel, 4g steel bar that stays in place without o-rings, and 2g bar that somebody else had given me so I don't know what it's made of but it's light, black, and have pink splatters on it.
also, i have a pair of opal ear gauges size 6
Anyone interested can also get these sterilized by a professional piercer for sanitation good measures. |
