Hello all. It’s rather late and I should not be doing this, but for some reason I’m motivated to do this blog.

Last Friday was Crash Fashion here in la. The show was insane. Amazing art in all formats but the main event consisted of 10 designers getting a box of crap ranging from scraps to plastic bags. They each had 1 hour to complete a full outfit on the model they were paired up with using no glue, no sewing, just what was given to them. Heres a few images from the event.

and a random photo of my finished outfit consisting of Home Depot bags, caution tape, denim scraps, and safety pins. My designer Die, as you can tell, based the outfit off of Japanese lolita and vk fashion.

Time for few things this week that stuck out at me in the art world…

For those of you in San Francisco, painter Joshua Petker has a solo show titled “Water Lilies” opening March 14th at the Shooting Gallery. If you love beautiful colors, unicorns, and women I suggest you check out this show :) Here are a few recent works that I love of his. You can check out more of his work @ http://www.joshuapetker.com/

While wasting countless hours on myspace this week I came across an artist that I’ve never seen before, and apparently after speaking to him to many have…. Justin Delacuesta out of Sacramento CA. Hes been putting out his art in many formants, but one being my favorite…SHOES. After asking him about these (for personal reasons )I decided I’d give it a shout out because I think they are sick.

“Well I was influenced to put my work on shoes because of my love for the Urban arts, the culture, graffiti, underground hip hop etc. So what better way to expose my passion to the world through what moves us around.” Justin Delacuesta
