We’re big on the email interviews these days. Being anti-social is the way to be. Anyway, Kellen answered some questions for us and we were excited to show the rest of you. I present to you, Memphis May Fire:

Haad: What’s up?! How are you guys doing?
Kellen: We are doing well! We are all set to unleash this record on the world; I’m not sure people are ready for it!
H: Are you guys currently on tour supporting your debut album, Sleepwalking?
K: We are headed out as main support for Fear Before in July/August. We are super excited about touring with them, as it will bring a new audience to hear our music I think. We also have a few tours after that which we will be announcing very soon.
H: Did you guys do anything different during the recording process of this album as opposed to the EP?
K: Well we worked with Casey Bates up in Seattle which was pretty rad, and I think the change of scenery helped a lot in a weird roundabout way. I personally recorded a lot of effects direct in, which I hadn’t done before and it was nice because I actually had the time to mess around with stuff like that.
H: Have you checked our site out yet? There’s a lot of naked girlies around, I’m sure rock stars love that type of thing.
K: Yes, we are familiar with the site- there are a lot of gorgeous girls on there!
H: Who gets the most groupie love while on tour? Don’t be shy!
K: Well honestly none of us do really. Matt is married, and the rest of us are either in relationships or in and out of one so that’s not really on our minds.
H: Do you guys feel like you get pigeonholed into a certain subgenre more often than not? How do you feel about that?
K: That’s a tricky question to say the least. We do get put into genres sometimes and I can understand why- based on listening to our EP. When people hear our new record they are going to have a hard time with that because there is so much going on in each song musically and vocally.
H: We are very fashionable here at the Godsgirls offices. What kind of stuff do you stay dressed in?
K: We love hitting up Urban Outfitters, H&M, some AA, and occasionally a sweet thrift store every now and then. We all like to look our best at all times but stay comfortable, and all those stores have exactly what we need!
H: Coming to Los Angeles Soon? I want tickets to the show!
K: I’m sure we will hit up LA, maybe not this Fear Before tour, but definitely in the fall after the record is out! We will definitely hook y’all up with some tix!
H: Anything you want to add?
K: Go pick up “Sleepwalking” anywhere cd’s are sold July 21st! We appreciate you taking the time to let us get our words and our name out to the rest of the world!
